HTools

HTools

Okay, so, I released HFeet a while back. It was PLAGUED with issues like odd sharp bits, and me forgetting to weight the feet to a normal, non-XPMSE skeleton. Also the first version didn’t work right for vanilla races.

So now, I’ve completely remade the original HFeet foot types, I’ve added 3 new types, and I’ve combined HFeet with HTongues, and now we have HTools!

Now, the thing to remember about HFeet, a small bug which a few folks have mentioned to me, in some lights, some of the foot types will look odd. This is not a problem with the feet meshes, or your textures. It’s related to how the engine handles the _msn texture applied to your feet. It’s not something that can be fixed, so I’m afraid you just have to put up with it.

I won’t ramble any more, because I’ve got more mods to release, so here’s the DL: HTools

So, I’ve been frustrated with the lack of ability to pose tongues for ages. In the meantime, I was using Morten’s conversion of linga’s tongues for my tongue needs, but they were all at the one arbitrary height which generally didn’t fit most of my characters, so I decided to make myself something a little more comprehensive.

This thing has 16 different types of tongues (actually, it’s 8, but in both thin and wide versions) at 5 different heights for females, and 2 different heights for males. Why only 2 for males? Because I don’t play males, so I was lazy. It was 112 tongues already… The tongues are in no particular order (but they ARE in the same order for each type), so you’ll have to figure out which is which yourself.

You can find the tongues all in a little strongbox on the sharpening wheel in qasmoke.

Welcome to the Aether Suite

So… where to start? Basically, I nixed Knox as a quest/story mod, because the more I looked into getting where I wanted to go, the more I realised I was going to run out of time long before I got finished making it. I didn’t want to just keep teasing it with little updates here and there, and then never even release it.

However, I wasn’t lying when I said that I’d release what I had, even if I never finished the mod.

Let me introduce you to the Aether Suite. The Aether Suite is basically me compiling all the random locations I’ve made over the past 2 years into 1 unique location, which as usual is basically made for screenshooting. The Aether Suite includes Skyrim Academy and the Photographer’s Studio, though the means of accessing the Photographer’s Studio has been changed, and can now be accessed directly from the Aether Suite lobby, and not by running through the whole school. I’ve also expanded the Photographer’s Studio a little more. On top of that, of course, I have added Knox. I didn’t just merge the files and call it done, however.

To provide you with the best quality I can offer, I spent a hefty amount of time over the past couple of days fixing little bugs, replacing parts and even adding a little new mod smell to Knox, to make it an interesting place to visit, as well as a cool spot to snap some shots.

All this can be accessed from the newly added lobby, which I mentioned before. Each of the 3 locations have a door out of the main lobby, taking you to them. There’s also a note on the table which attempts rather poorly to make the mod seem like it’s lore friendly. We all know it’s not, but it’s nice to pretend.

So how do you reach the Aether Suite? Well, I also changed that. You won’t magically receive a spell to take you there, like you did with Skyrim Academy. You’ll have to find the spell tome in the Mages College, Hall of Attainment, poorly hidden under one of the upper floor beds. That spell will take you to the lobby, and you can proceed from there.

Regarding fast traveling from the locations. I believe you can still fast travel from The Academy, but I will be disabling this in later versions, because it doesn’t really make sense with the rest of the setup. For the rest, you can use the suspicious looking wall in the lobby to teleport back to the Hall of Attainment.

Regarding the scope of Knox, while it’s not inherently massive, there’s lots of little things to see, and more on offer than what you can see (or not see, in the case of block 4) in the video, so feel free to really explore on your first visit there. You might run into some cool stuff, or just find an extra area or two.

This doesn’t mean the end of The Academy, or Knox, or even the Photo Studio. It just means that they’re now all the same mod, and when I update the mod, you’re likely to get updates for all of them at once. There will continue to be expansions for all 3 modules, at my time permits.

Lastly, the download it pretty huge (400mb), and the install itself is 1.3gb in total. I assure you, this is already the optimised number. I’ve compressed and resized the hell out of the textures. This is as small as it gets, I’m afraid. If you don’t have the space, don’t install the mod. No one will hold it against you.

Video preview below, and download links follow the preview video. The video isn’t all of what’s on offer. Knox also doesn’t have to look this dark, that’s just the way I like my ENB.

I hope you and your characters enjoy the mod!

Halo.

P.S. I fixed the missing texture issue in the video, so don’t worry.

Updates and Additions

It’s a poser update. Not many new poses, but a lot of reason to update, in my opinion.

Here’s what’s new:

-Pinup Pairs and EX5 modules added. Both highly incomplete, but a few new poses to play with.
-SNSD Poser has been folder into Pinup Poser, even though I said it wouldn’t be, because I’d prefer that you can get all your delicious poses in one place. That means YOU CAN DELETE YOUR SNSD POSER .ESP if you have one.
-The menus for all old modules have been overhauled. For the original PP modules, the menus now list if poses are made for a weapon, or if they’re paired poses. For the EX series, up to EX4, poses have now been classified as standing, sitting, laying or kneeling, as well as being marked as weapon poses where applicable. Dramatic Poser now has individually named poses. Pinups for Men has also received the weapon marker treatment.
-All Pinup Poser items and spells are now preceeded with the letters PP. This means that they all show up in one solid clump in your inventory. I know it’s not a tidy little keyring or a single menu system, but it’s a little easier, at least.

I am going to look into making some sort of a keyring type setup wherein I can put all the rings into some sort of submenu, but since I have no intention of using SKSE to accomplish that, I wouldn’t hold your breath.

Warning: You WILL have to re-favourite and re-hotkey the rings after installing this update. I am using a new method to merge my .esp files, which renumbers all forms, so your game won’t recognise them as the same item.

Dawnwood Shallows

So, recently I was looking for a specific type of location, and honestly, I don’t even remember what type of location that was now, it was like a week ago, cut me some slack, but it ended up turning into this pet project.

So Dawnwood Shallows is a player home. It’s not a super advanced player home with 1000 special features, item sorting, display rooms for your arsenal of pointless shit you’ll never use and trophy rooms that just take up space. Reason being, I don’t go in for all that stuff. My personal opinion is that save for a small few very cool looking weapons and armours, if I’m not carrying it on my person, it’s better off sold for profit. I am not a hoarder, and so this is not a hoarder’s base of operation.

What I am is a screenshooter. I like taking pretty pictures, and I like my player homes to focus more on looking interesting or pretty. That’s what I’ve tried to create here. An aesthetically pleasing player home.

It’s somewhat grandiose, because the larger portion of it is built from the Dwemer tileset, which, point of fact, doesn’t DO small. It has medium, large, and fucking gigantic, much like all things Dwemer.

So, basic shit you can expect from this house?

Basic amenties: Of course I wouldn’t give you a completely useless house mod, so naturally it comes with a fully equipped forge, an alchemy table, an enchanting table, and even a cooking pot.
A modest display set: 6 weapon plaques in the living quarters, and 2 mannequins. No full on trophy rooms, but a little room for decoration, at least.
A few select aedric shrines. Just whatever ones I felt like tossing in there, really.

The rest is all about the pretty, and you can check out the screenshots for examples. I have also tried to keep it as plausible as possible.

Here’s a little back story on the location, just to make you lore-mongers feel better:

Dawnwood Shallows began life as a Dwemer settlement, but through many years of neglect and eventual disrepair, the larger portion of the city has utterly collapsed and is no longer inhabitable. However, an enterprising individual discovered that through the collapse of the city, a small cave system had been created and a small area was still structurally sound and inhabitable. This individual decided to make it his home. He has since passed away, and the home lies vacant, for some lucky Dragonborn to conveniently discover and take possession of.

There, feel better now?

So a few things that are of note.

First of all, the mod was created using SFO Summer Edition, so if you don’t have that, it’s not gonna look like it does in the screenshots. However, I have actively tested it with the standard SFO package (which I imagine is similar to vanilla in colour scheme) and it is still beautiful, it just has a much more autumnal feel to it, with all those autumn aspen floating around and slightly less saturated grass.

Second of all, the entire mod is follower friendly. I have painstakingly navmeshed it, and I don’t mean auto-generated and called it done. I’ve spent many hours generating and fixing the navmeshing in the exterior area, and have thoroughly tested it with followers, as have a few friends, and we can all attest that it works perfectly.

Lastly, the interior has been optimised as best it can be, that means you shouldn’t have any mysteriously winking out lights or lights arguing for control of an area. Even the one mentioned in the readme doesn’t happen any more, I fixed it. Everything is roomed off and portaled for best performance and to prevent lights and effects causing problems with other lights and effects.

Finally, after all my rambling, here is a link to the download, and a series of screenshots to make you think it’s wonderful when it’s actually not particularly impressive at all!

Third Party Mods

Okay. Here it is. The next update to the pose collection. As you can probably see, I’ve decided to change the name. Fact of the matter is, people seem to have a hard time wrapping their head around it being called “Skyrim Pose Collection”, so instead, I’ve changed it back to Pinup Poser, except now it’s Pinup Poser S. The S stands for “series”.

BIG AND IMPORTANT THING is that when you’re installing this one, delete the old “Skyrim Pose Collection.esp” and obviously remember to kill that “PinupsEX4.esp” as well. That’s now included in the new version.

Let me make a reminder here, too. I can ASSURE YOU that all of the poses in the EX4 set are 100% possible for the human body. Some of them may seem a little crazy, but they’re all almost identical to their source images, so yes, that leg? You know the one I’m talking about, yes it CAN do that.

Third Party Mods

Third partying, to be precise.

I’m happy to announce that I am now the proud host to a “Third Party” mods page, which you can find under the mods menu. As the name suggests, it will be hosting mods not made by me. The first actor to the stage for this is the lovely lady above, Emily, made by Bonapart/Jinpachiro. You can the most recent version, which is the 2.6 update, over at the link below.

Emily 2.6

Next up, we also have Bonapart, the Lord of the Dance. Once again, by Bonapart/Jinpachiro. You can download this flaming hot fellow from the link below. Also, DRAGONPORN, please update your Bonapart link to this link, as the old links are dead. :)

In other news, work continues on the Pinup Poser EX4 module. I’m now up to pose 300. You can download an updated preview at the link below.

B-Butts

Welp, another day, another poser, and not the one you were expecting! No. I still haven’t finished SNSD Poser. I should get on it, I know, but damn it, when you’re not in the mood, you’re not in the mood. So anyway, I’ve been working on the EX4 module. It’s not finished yet, but I thought I’d give you guys a preview.

I’d just like to note, remembering some comments I had before, that all of the poses in this module are based on real human beings. Artistic nudes and model shots. They are all 100% physically possible with the human body. Some of the curves might not be “natural”, but poses aren’t always natural. That’s the point of posing. The human body can make all of these shapes. Remember that before you start thinking their backs look broken or a pose doesn’t seem physically possible.

The Woods

So this little number is just a tiny location I threw together. I got sick and tired of trying to find small, pretty little spots amid the Skyrim wilderness that weren’t affected somehow by the Skyrim world. By which I mean, there wasn’t a fort, or a farm, or a ruin, or just a fucking big river and open horizon in the background. I wanted a nice pretty woodsy space to take some simple pictures in, which could be considered lore friendly, or could just as easily NOT be considered lore friendly.

This little thing was the result. To reach it, type “cow ThWoods 0,0″ into your console. Don’t bother exploring past the trees, there’s nothing there. It’s just a little pond clearing to take some pics in.

Skyrim Academy v78

So, in other updates, however small they may be, I have a minor offering for Skyrim Academy. The actual additions in this update are practically non-existent, but there is one very important feature which I felt deserved a whole release.

Navmeshing.

Yes, that’s right, now you can bring your follower and they will ACTUALLY FOLLOW YOU AROUND THE LOCATION.

The other thing in the update is the addition of one more room to the Photographer’s studio, which is the wet room, pictured above.

As always, the download link stays the same, and this is it: http://mod.dysintropi.me/mods/Skyrim/SkyrimAcademy.7z
