Ringo’s Wardrobe

Ringo's Wardrobe

So this one will be a little bit of a treat for 7BO fans. Some of you might know that I’m not just a UNPCM user. This particular mod release is a collection of a few mashups and original creations of mine, made for the character Ringo (of Fuwasan fame) over the past couple of years. Stuff I’ve been sitting on for a while now.

Once again I will say, this mod will not be updated, supported, or fixed. It’s released as is. If you find bugs, don’t tell me about it. This is final. The mod is 100% only, so if you use a lower weight of 7BO (but why the heck would you?) then this will be no good to you.

To use the stuff, first equip the high poly version of 7BO, named “Ringo’s Body”, then equip any of the other pieces you want to use with it. This is designed solely for screenshooting purposes, so no attention was paid to things like armour, improvement, or balance.

Here’s the download, and have fun: Download

Is it possible that you can make this a replacement body for a custom race? Such as just renaming Ringo’s body to femalebody_1.nif?

Yup. That’s all you have to do. Just put the nif into the custom race folder with that name.

Thanks so much, and to confirm it it does indeed work. ^_^ You’re a god, Halo!

    Sorry for bothering you again, but I was wondering if you knew of a tutorial that showed how to replace a body mesh with a clothing mod to use with your higher poly body? I wanted to replace Goma’s MiniBikini 7BO body with yours, but I’m doing it all wrong. ^^;;

You shouldn’t anyway. They don’t have the same weighting. They will clip horribly. That’s why I put Ringo’s body as equipable instead of a replacer. It’s easier to only use Ringo’s body for the clothes made for it and use normal 7BO the rest of the time.

Was it hard making high poly body meshes for 7BO and UNPCM? I’ve always thought of making my own high poly version of UNPB Oppai.

Well, it depends on what you want to do. If you just want to make the mesh high poly and be done with it, you can import the mesh, subdivide the body, smooth the vertices, and re-export it. Job done. I personally didn’t like that though, because without editing the weighting, I didn’t find the results satisfactory. I reweighted both bodies almost entirely. That took a lot of trial and error. If you want to take the easy route, it’s pretty simple. If you want to do a good job, I’d say it’s not something just anyone can do. You need to know how to rig meshes in the program of your choice.

Halofarm – Always appreciate the content you’ve put together and shared with the Skyrim community. I wanted to get you recommendation on the best app or mod to use to merge mods together. If I’m running 200+ mods – is it less hard on Skyrim and my PC to merge those down to one mod – or does it really matter much? Definitely interested in your feedback.

I personally wouldn’t go merging anything until you actually need to save space in your load order. Even when you do need to save space, it’s very important to pick and choose specifically what to merge. Anything involving NPCs (city mods, town mods, followers, etc) are best left alone, and likewise, I wouldn’t recommend merging anything particularly script heavy. The kind of things you can safely merge are more likely to be things like weapon and clothing mods, or perhaps environmental mods like house mods. As for what tool to use, anything based on xEdit. So tes5edit’s merge plugins script, or the standalone version, which is more advanced again.

So, I managed to make the UNPBO high poly body, but I can’t manage to get the body mesh to match with the player skin. Is there something else you have to do to get that to work?

Nevermind I got it. XD But when I try to smooth the vertices it gets this weird gap in the back that breaks the mesh.

Welcome to the pains of working with meshes in Skyrim. 50% chance to break everything!

So, do you know of anything that could help or is it just a case of trial and error?

          • Halofarm March 24, 2019 8:32 am

Not really. I’m not sure what would cause the back of all places to have a gap. It doesn’t have any seams, so it can’t be that. I’m not sure what else might cause that problem.

So, I was a dummy. I was using Subdivide instead of Subdivide Smooth. Working completely fine now. :)

Glad to hear you got it working
