Pinup Poser s1.15

Updates and Additions

It’s a poser update. Not many new poses, but a lot of reason to update, in my opinion.

Here’s what’s new:

-Pinup Pairs and EX5 modules added. Both highly incomplete, but a few new poses to play with.
-SNSD Poser has been folder into Pinup Poser, even though I said it wouldn’t be, because I’d prefer that you can get all your delicious poses in one place. That means YOU CAN DELETE YOUR SNSD POSER .ESP if you have one.
-The menus for all old modules have been overhauled. For the original PP modules, the menus now list if poses are made for a weapon, or if they’re paired poses. For the EX series, up to EX4, poses have now been classified as standing, sitting, laying or kneeling, as well as being marked as weapon poses where applicable. Dramatic Poser now has individually named poses. Pinups for Men has also received the weapon marker treatment.
-All Pinup Poser items and spells are now preceeded with the letters PP. This means that they all show up in one solid clump in your inventory. I know it’s not a tidy little keyring or a single menu system, but it’s a little easier, at least.

I am going to look into making some sort of a keyring type setup wherein I can put all the rings into some sort of submenu, but since I have no intention of using SKSE to accomplish that, I wouldn’t hold your breath.

Warning: You WILL have to re-favourite and re-hotkey the rings after installing this update. I am using a new method to merge my .esp files, which renumbers all forms, so your game won’t recognise them as the same item.

    Hi Halo, I’ve been using for your poses for longer than I can remember.

    I went in and deleted all my older poses, esps, animations, behaviors and scripts. Ran FNIS after that. Then installed this update. Ran FNIS after that and went into skyrim.

    I picked one of the newer poses EX5 and my toon executed the pose but shortly after I ctd. I tried again and same.

    I did backup all the older ones I mentioned that I deleted above.

    Any ideas what can be the issue?

      Are you using PCEA and it is up to date? The only time I’ve heard of issues like that is with PCEA. Nothing in the mod has changed except the number of poses. I will say that EX5 was compiled with the latest version of FNIS. I don’t know if that will make a difference, but if it did, that’s not something I can fix, I’m afraid, since I have no control over how FNIS works.

      If it’s not related to PCEA, perhaps try asking on the FNIS page if they know anything about it.

      Yeah, it may be related to FNIS then. Since the newer ones were compiled on the latest version.

    I can’t get this to work at all, been at it for the last few hours. Reinstalled FNIS, deleted pinup files, readded and ofcourse clicked update inbetween, I get ingame and see the different rings, bind anyone and tries to use but nothing happens. I have other mods installed, but the only mod with animations is UNP body. Other than that most of my other mods are HD textures or armors. Am I doing something wrong? I follow the guide step by step several times with no success

      If the rings have appeared in your inventory automatically, that means the scripts are working fine. It really should be as simple as putting a ring pair on hotkeys and choosing a pose, then using it. If the keys aren’t either bringing up a menu or making you do a pose, check that all the scripts are in your scripts folder.

      Other than that, I can’t see any reason it wouldn’t be working for you.

    I just wanted to say thank you so much for the poses and your area mods (I use them for screenshots, The Woods is great!). :) These make it so much more fun to go into the game, grab new armours and just play around with screenshots.

    I love your mod, but i think there isn’t enough male animation, I hope you plan to make more! Male are forsaken… :(
    Anyway… I enjoy your work and need more male animations by you, because you are doing great job!

      I don’t really like making male poses, because I have a very hard time making them look good. I’ve also spent hours looking for male poses online and they always seem to be the same poses over and over again. I will make more in the future, but it may not be soon.

    Absolutely brilliant. Any chance you could release some tutorial on making our own FNIS pose collections? I want to try my hand at it and I’m struggling at merely collecting all the necessary tools.

      No. I’ve said before and I’ll say again, I have no intention of making a tutorial. What I will do is link you to this:

      It’s the version of hkxcmd I use personally, along with some files explaining how to get things in and out of blender. It’s what I use, and it’s how I learned.

    If I want to uninstall this mod how do I go about doing it? What I mean is where are the meshes and the scripts stored in the files so I can go in and properly delete them?

      What’s stopping you from just downloading the file and finding out for yourself? I’d really rather not sit and list all the individual files you need to look for.

    Thank you for the update for this oh so nice mod. This will keep me occupied screenshotting for a while again.
    I read that you’ve rearranged the poses. I guess that you don’t have a list or so which new name/nr belong to which old number?

      No. I haven’t re-arranged them. I’ve changed the posers so you actually know whether poses are sitting, standing, laying or kneeling, by putting a list in each submenu. That’s all.

    Many thanks for this. Now that I’ve actually got a decent system, I can actually use Pinup Poser without hassle. It’s all so compact now!

    Any chance you’d do a photo index though, even as an out-of-game file? Would make it easier to pinpoint a specific pose I want at any moment. It’s just a suggestion, I’m sure there’s a lot of love already put into the mod. Brilliant!

    Hi Halo,

    First thx for your mod.

    After updating FNIS to the newest non-beta version and updating your mod to v s.1.15 I run the FNIS generator tool and get no error messages while updating the behaviour files.

    …but after doing a Consistence Check I get the following messages (I never got even with FNIS 3.5 and version s1.0:

    Any idea? maybe just ignore it?

      Don’t worry about it. A lot of people ask me this question, and it’s normal. It’s because FNIS expects there to be animation files there, but because the modules are incomplete, there aren’t any files there yet. You can just ignore it and go about your business.

    Hi Halo!
    I’ve loved this mod since I found it on the nexus a while back. Unfortunately I can no longer get this version to work anymore =/ I made a clean install of my game so I could start fresh and new, and it seems like this mod or something related to it is crashing me upon load. Of course, I checked FNIS and the few add ons I had reinstalled. They seem to work fine, yours did too actually. But after exiting the game and coming back, I would ctd immediately after trying to load a character.

    I read a few posts about a similar issue but I don’t know if there’s been a fix yet. If you like I can post the consistency check errors, but I figured I’d ask first before bombarding your comments section. Any bit of help would be appreciated. I really love this mod, part of the reason I still play is to take screenshots with the assistance of your mod. Anyways, sorry for the trouble and good luck on your future projects :D

      I wish I could help, but unfortunatley I only recall maybe one instance of this, personally, and I don’t think the person that had the problem ever found a fix. What I can recommend is that you try a workaround and see if that will let you load your save. COC qasmoke in your console from the main menu (yes, the main menu, with the imperial logo and the continue/new/load buttons) and if your game doesn’t crash in qasmoke, then proceed to load one of your save games from there, and see if you get into it okay.

      Even I occasionally have save games that need this workaround, but some need it more than others. Give it a go, and I hope it works for you.

    Thank you! That actually worked quite well. For what it’s worth, I’ve noticed that disabling steam cloud sync and dismissing my followers made the crashes less frequent. I honestly have no idea what those have to do with anything, but hey okay, hehe. And if it still didn’t load in, all I’d do is COC qasmoke and it did the trick anyways. Thanks Halo :D

      From what I can tell, it’s related to how much your game has to load in at the time of loading your save. If you coc qasmoke, there’s pretty much nothing in that room, since it’s a tester, and the only character assets loaded are your own. From there the game has time to get its bearings, and loading a save then is easy enough, since some of the key assets are already in memory. Loading a save outdoors, or with other characters on screen increases the system load when you’re loading your save game.

      That’s what I’ve gathered, anyway. Basically it’s down to Skyrim’s game engine teetering over the jaws of Oblivion.

      As far as I know, that only happens if you didn’t install properly, or failed to use FNIS.

        I tried all to get the game work with PP but i just out of ideas now i think i installed it right and FNIS are always Up-to-date :/ very sad thing now :(

          No. I don’t think so. That’s just a normal animation replacer. No reason to cause a problem.

          It could be, but I’ve been told that the mod is 100% compatible with NMM now, so it shouldn’t be an issue.

            Hi Halofarm, I’ve had the same problem. When I install your mod with nmm or manually I get a ctd on load, I have updated FNIS and I had no errors when I ran it. Do you rekon it’s somthing to do with my body replacer? I’m using the temptress race, with a sevenbase body, sg textures, UNP creamy overwriting sg textures, and svarog’s fitness body. sevenbase does add a few animations and I was thinking maybe it’s the BBP? I have disabled the idle animation because it’s annoying that my character moves all the time. Any help would be appreciated, would love to get to use your mod again.

            I know plenty of people who use BBP with PP without issue. I even have a character myself who uses BBP. Unless your skeleton should be using some kind of FNIS patch that you didn’t apply. If you use XPMS then patches apply automatically, so that shouldn’t be an issue. Bodies and textures are irrelevant. They definitely aren’t causing your CTD.

    Hey for some reason this mod crashes my game when I have it loaded in. Which version of fnis do you recommend with this mod? Gosh I really enjoy taking screenshots and having the character do a pose is a god send…but every time I try this mod out somehow my game just breaks on save games and they only work from time to time…I understand that this issue isnt really common …it probably somehow conflicts with one of the 100s of mods I have installed…too lazy to see which one but ill keep trying >_< thanks for the mod btw its awesome !

      The only mod I know of that’s ever conflicted with this one is PCEA, but I don’t think it does any more. As for versions of FNIS, I’ve never had a version that doesn’t work, and I keep up to date. They all work fine. Do you run the Skyrim memory patch? Without knowing the cause, I can’t begin to give you solutions, but you could certainly try that, if you haven’t already.

    i Think some ppl problem was caused by either too many animations that uses FNIS (there’s a parameter in the generator after update behavior), and their game wont load, or because there’s a mismatch like not uninstalling FNIS creature animation after uninstalling a mod that uses it.
    Its a common problem when 1600-2000 animation for a x number of mods generated by fnis and the game wont load at all

      Last time I checked, the workaround for this was to “coc qasmoke” from the main menu and load your save from there.

    Great work man on all your mods.

    I have been looking everywhere on the internet and for the life of me can not figure out how to apply the poses on a follower. Is there a way to do this? I have not tried duplicating a ring and forcing them to wear it (that’s my last resort unless it is all I got). Thanks for the Mods

      You get a spell for each pose ring, which you cast on them. It’s all in the readme.

    Hey I’m new to this and I’m not sure how it works I seen it says there is a bunch of keys in your inventory and I did see them and that’s what brought me here to ask if its needed to keep those keys in your inventory?

    Or does this work via spells like FNIS does?

    Is it possible to delete a majority of poses so it doesn’t crash? Or will it crash due to missing content? x( Because really don’t want to do the console command every time… Really wish you made options with the psoes so your game wouldn’t crash because of the majority of them.

      You know, before, I used to have them set up as individual modules, and I got endless complaints about how they needed to all be in one mod, so I’m afraid you’re in the minority here. You could try deleting some of the behavior files and re-running FNIS.

          They’re all important really. It was the only suggestion I could think of. I’ve never tried it myself. Other than that, I can’t think of anything else that might help.

    Hi, new to the poser, A couple of days ago I downloaded poser s1.0(that’s what I thought); how do I know which version of the poser am I running? In the animations folder I have the Pinup Pairs and EX5 modules

      The readme says what version you have. That’s how you know. If you downloaded it from here, then the readme is correct. My links always go to the most recent version. I don’t host old versions. Old links change to the latest version.

    I’m new to the pinup poser and I don’t know where to start. T^T I love to take screenshots and I would love to know how I can incorporate this into my game. Is it a simple as NMM? Or… do you gotta install it like SKSE or FNIS? There no info indicating a proper area for help or how to install. Please help. n_n

      The information you need from me is in the readme. That’s the area with info like help to install. You can find the readmes in the download. There is a main one, and there is a pinup poser one. The pinup poser one has the requirements list. It also suggests manual install, but that’s up to you. I don’t know if NMM can install it right.

        Ive downloaded ur mod and I can get the poses to work through the race menu and I saw that there were rings that I had to bind to 1-9 and that but I didn’t get the rings and I’m a little confused

          It the rings didn’t appear, something may have gone wrong with your install that the scripts didn’t fire. Either that or you installed the wrong version. The Poser Hotkeys version doesn’t have rings or scripts.
