Pinup Poser S

Third Party Mods

Okay. Here it is. The next update to the pose collection. As you can probably see, I’ve decided to change the name. Fact of the matter is, people seem to have a hard time wrapping their head around it being called “Skyrim Pose Collection”, so instead, I’ve changed it back to Pinup Poser, except now it’s Pinup Poser S. The S stands for “series”.

BIG AND IMPORTANT THING is that when you’re installing this one, delete the old “Skyrim Pose Collection.esp” and obviously remember to kill that “PinupsEX4.esp” as well. That’s now included in the new version.

Let me make a reminder here, too. I can ASSURE YOU that all of the poses in the EX4 set are 100% possible for the human body. Some of them may seem a little crazy, but they’re all almost identical to their source images, so yes, that leg? You know the one I’m talking about, yes it CAN do that.

Third Party Mods

So after a long time working on the Pinups series, the main series has come to an end. In case you’re thinking this means I’m not making any more poses, no, that’s not what it means. It means that the flagship Pinup Poser modules are now over and done with. There were 5 modules in the nexus era and another 4 in the post-nexus EX grab bag format range. For those of you who are too lazy to do the maths, that’s a total of 729 poses in the main Pinup Poser series. And after 729 poses, I was getting more and more desperate and making more and more complex poses. I think you’ll see with EX4 that I have most definitely reached the end of the inspirational material, and the limits of how complex a pose can be. Plus, I make the occasional double because I can’t remember what I have and haven’t made before.

Third Party Mods

Now the main Pinup Poser series is over, what does this mean?

Well, the most important thing it means is that I can now work more on the other in progress pose modules and other pose module ideas that I have floating around. Specifically, it means that I am now free to move onto completing Pinups for Men, Action Poser, SNSD Poser and Dramatic Poser. So for those of you who like those posers, feel free to get your hopes up for future updates.

Moreover, it also means I can focus on some of the other ideas I had, such as Pinup Pairs, which would be an entire module of paired poses, and Playful Poser, which would be a poser full of more motion based (no, not actual animations, but poses that look like they’re in motion) poses for fun and/or cute screenshots. So fret not, pose fans, though the main Pinups range is done, there’s still a good few hundred more poses on the cards for the future.

After all that rambling, here’s the download.

Pinup Poser S1.0

I hope you have fun with it, and may you see many more poses in the future.

Halo.

    Thanks for sharing your amazing work! Just wanted to point out an issue I had though. My FNIS is up to date as well as my Skyrim (FYI). I started by uninstalling all the old Poser mods and making a clean save. Then I installed the new Poser and loaded up a game. It worked fine and I saved and exited. Whenever I tried to load a game after that, I would CTD instantly every time. I read about a similar issue like this and learned it had to do with script issues. So I deleted all the Poser scripts and loaded. Solved my issue. Just thought I would post it here if it helps someone out.

      Okay, sorry I take that back. It loaded fine once. Now it crashes every time again. I can’t figure this out. I haven’t messed with any other mods, but disabling this mod won’t fix it. Anyone have any ideas?

        You can delete my posts if you want, but I just wanted to share one last bit of frustration. I thought I finally got this to work after cleaning out all my mods and making clean saves. Saved and exited, loaded, and everything worked perfectly. Thought it was fixed, so I quit, then loaded the exact same game (with absolutely no changes to anything). Instant CTD. And now every time I load, instant CTD again. Why?

          I didn’t delete anything. All posts from users who’ve never posted before are filtered until I confirm they’re not spam.

          As for why, I don’t know. My previous response said as much. I don’t claim to be a genius of knowledge on the matter, and I won’t claim it’s a problem on your end and not with my mod. All I can say is that something somewhere is clashing, because I know that Pinup Poser works fine for most other people. It’s possible it related to the fact that I still use the 1.8 update and an older version of FNIS, but I know people using 1.9 and the latest FNIS who have no problems, so I’m truly stumped. Honestly, if it’s causing you so much trouble, you should uninstall it. No amount of posers are worth breaking your game.

          • mayatola July 28, 2013 9:57 pm

            Sorry, what I meant by delete my posts is that I felt kinda ridiculous for posting twice without doing more thorough testing first.

            Anyway, I can confirm that my game works fine now by not having a follower near me when I first load in. I think the problem was first cause by the behavior files that are modified after I run the FNIS generator. Perhaps there are just too many animations for it to handle? Like I said, it would crash every time no matter what (deactivating esp, deleting scripts) until I cleared the behavior files and reran generator without them.

            Once I cleared the problem, reloaded save and dismissed follower, then I reinstalled Poser and loaded up in a room by myself. Now I can load in fine and use it without problems. Hope that helps you narrow it down.

      • Halofarm July 28, 2013 8:28 am  Reply

        Someone else said they had a similar problem, but I have no theories as to how or why it’s happening. There’s nothing really in Pinup Poser that should be causing crashes like that. The scripts could, in theory, but I don’t see why they would, and if the poses are, then it could be somehow related to the version of FNIS the poser was compiled with vs the version you’re using or… something like that. I honestly don’t know. I don’t understand what’s wrong, because I don’t understand exactly how the game interacts with FNIS. I only know roughly how that plugs into the mod.

  3. mayatola July 28, 2013 9:07 am  Reply

    I think I found the problem. I had to keep reverting to backup saves, and the one I kept using had a vanilla Dark Brotherhood follower with me. I didn’t think much of it, but this time I dismissed her and made a save. After numerous loads and saves, the game loads perfectly with Poser, no CTD. I’ve never had a problem with vanilla followers before, but if it really was the problem, I’m so sorry!

    • Halofarm July 28, 2013 9:41 am  Reply

      That is very very odd, but it could still be related to Pinup Poser in some way. I just couldn’t begin to fathom how.

    • np August 2, 2013 1:14 pm  Reply

      I have the same CTD issue, resolved if I uninstall the pinup animations, but I have no follower with me in all the saves that keep crashing. My observations are the following.

      1) Save in interiors load (mostly) normally, not sure why but they do.
      2) Using any ENB set (tried around 4-5 of them in case one specific ENB created the issue) vastly raises the chances that an OUTDOORS save will crash (1st time load might not, but once you save outdoors, it’s 100% CTD on every load afterwards). Without ENB, it may or it may not crash, it generally won’t crash immediately though.
      3) Completely removing Pinup Poser stops CTD on load (tested repeatedly) , with or without ENB.
      4)Tried both FNIS 3.5 and 4.0 beta, no difference in CTD.

      For the record, my total animations with Pinup Poser reach over 1700 (or something like that, says FNIS). Also, I’ve got an 570GTX (stock, no afterburner or other OC) with 1,2GB vram, plus 16gb RAM. Seeing as using ENB along Pinup Poser guarantees a crash, and since saves indoors seem to load normally most of the time, maybe it’s graphics related or something. If not, can the game handle 1700 animations? And before you ask, besides female idles, facial animations, running animations, etc, yes, there are animations from THAT place, too :P

      So, any ideas?

      • Halofarm August 2, 2013 1:38 pm  Reply

        Well, I get occasional CTDs on load as well. Always have. It’s never been something that concerns me. I certainly don’t get these guaranteed CTDs you talk about.

        Can the game handle 1700 animations? Yes. Mine does. I get the same number when I run FNIS. Yes. Most other people’s do. It’s only a small few people who have these problems.

        At this point, I am almost certain (gathering data from all the different complaints) that it’s a hardware issue of some sort. By which I mean that perhaps when the game loads, all the excess animations can only be loaded in time if your overall machine speed is fast enough, or perhaps even that the crashes only occur when a certain set of conditions are met.

        I am able to load outdoors, and indoors, my crash frequency is actually higher when loading indoors.

        In the end, I’m inclined to respond simply with the answer “Can the game handle 1700 animations? Yes, for most people, but not everyone.” because that’s the only conclusion I can come to.

        • np August 2, 2013 4:29 pm  Reply

          Tried lowering the count to around 1300 by loading just the first 4-5 idle groups (if that thing is even possible, I just pasted just those groups and behaviors in the data file and used FNIS). Still no go. Also tried removing some other animations and getting Pinup Poser alone, ended up with over 1200 animations, no go. Tried just 2 Poser groups, ended up with 1020 animations, still no go (but all that could be the .esp being all or nothing, I don’t know). Not sure it’s the # of animations anymore. My normal animation count is 859. I sometimes manage to make it load ONCE with pinup poser on a clean save, save, quit, load, then the CTDs start. Rather frustrating actually, seeing as the main reason I use ENB is getting screenshots. What good is it if I can’t get the poses? The retarded thing of course is that I COULD get the poses if I stay indoors with an indoors save but that’s too counterproductive to pull.

          The other thing I’m speculating is maybe there’s something in the enbseries ini files that messes up, like how a memory reduction fix apparently makes alt+tab unable to bring the game back to focus, after you’ve alt+tab/ed out.

          Sorry for double post below, browser fumbled :P

        • np August 2, 2013 8:30 pm  Reply

          OK, last post, I suppose I have to abandon all hopes of getting it to work. My final observations:

          1. With or without ENB, a save that has been altered/corrupted by the mod will cause CTD on load consistently. Even saves that were clean of both ENB and mod crash. I can completely eliminate CTD by uninstalling the mod and running FNIS again.

          1a. Playing around with the enb ini files didn’t yield anything, it still crashes. Disabling and uninstalling ENB didn’t work either.

          2. Tried creating a new character, just in case all other saves were corrupt. Everything seemed normal, I was at the Helgen Keep, till I decided to save and test. CTD on load.

          3. Tried a clean install and reapplying all mods this morning, still CTD. One save sometimes managed to load, usually a clean one, mostly in an interior, although those apparently also tend to crash once they get corrupted, based on my extensive testing.

          4. A rather interesting find : Became frustrated, so I said, what the hell, and tossed FNIS spells 3.5, too, totaling over 1800 animations. However, I used the 4.0 beta FNIS. Generating with that cause exactly the same CTD (which I didn’t have before with this particular mod). Uninstalled 4.0, installed and used 3.5, CTD for FNIS spells eliminated. So, I tried using FNIS 3.2, only v3 I could find without downloading some shady .exe. That didn’t work either though, so I have to call it quits. I’m not even sure what more to troubleshoot, so hopefully someone will fix the CTDs eventually or something…. Kinda sucks cause it’s a unique mod.

          Good people, a MIRACLE has occurred. So I was going around randomly looking for stuff, and spotted this Papyrus skyrim.ini settings.

          [Papyrus]
          fUpdateBudgetMS=1.6
          fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=1.6
          fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=1000.0
          bEnableLogging=0
          bEnableTrace=0
          bLoadDebugInformation=0
          iMaxMemoryPageSize=8192
          iMinMemoryPageSize=256
          iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=8388608

          I used these, they didn’t seem to do that much to the game, but today I read that sometimes wrong papyrus settings can cause CTDs, and CTDs can also be caused by papyrus being retarded and failing to load and stuff. This setting in particular “fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS” supposedly adds time to loads so that papyrus can have more time to load. I set this to 2000 and CTDs dropped by close to 50%. I thus set this to 4000 and some “known-for-crashing” saves I had loaded on the first try.

          Stupefying.

          Now my papyrus settings look like this

          [Papyrus]
          fUpdateBudgetMS=1.6
          fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=1.6
          fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=4000.0
          bEnableLogging=0
          bEnableTrace=0
          bLoadDebugInformation=0
          iMaxMemoryPageSize=8192
          iMinMemoryPageSize=256
          iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=8388608

          For the record, I have some other tweaks here and there, supposedly for multicore support in the rest of the ini files. Also note that my rig is a Phenom II x6 1075, 16GB RAM and a nvidia 570GTX, just saying because these might also be hardware related. But these seem to fix the issue for me, so I’m a happy panda now ^o^.

          • Halofarm August 3, 2013 5:57 pm

            Well, I am very glad you fixed the issue, and not only that, but you may have found the solution for many other folks out there who have the same problem.

            As the receiver of complaints about my mod, I can honestly say, thank you.

          • np August 3, 2013 6:46 pm

            Just a note here, I wanted to uninstall some body/skeleton mod (SOS full in this case :P and install SOS light cause the full version was interfering with my female armor mods) apparently it killed something,, even though I followed a clean save procedure and now I get crashes again. Thing is, it’s obviously not your mod on its own, as I had little crashes after tweaking the ini before trying to mess up stuff again :P . I’m trying to pinpoint the source browsing through papyrus logs now, as I’m pretty confident it’s some scripts messing up…

          • Halofarm August 3, 2013 8:18 pm

            Did you re-run FNIS? It’s possible that a custom skeleton mod requires an FNIS re-run, though I’m not sure about that. I don’t know too much about skeleton modding.

          • np August 3, 2013 9:52 pm

            Yeah, I almost always FNIS.

            Now I came up with rather peculiar findings. After trying some random ways to clean saves, running a utility and going around and stuff, CTDs are a bit inconsistent.

            Example: I eventually created 3 saves to test whether I had solved the problem.
            a) In Skyrim, outside Solitude
            b) In Solitude
            c) In Proudside manor
            d) Inside Warmaiden’s, the initial Save I was trying to clean, using it for fail-safe.

            D was loading without fail. C was mostly loading. Solitude was loading most of the time till I decided to add Lanterns of Skyrim, when that, too started failing all the time. A would not load.
            Now the funny part. IF a save managed to load, usually Warmaiden’s or a house interior save, all other saves loaded normally in-game. Those same saves were causing CTD when they were the initial ones to load from the main menu. Seems like it’s a script issue but I’m not sure how to tell the engine to take more time. Setting the PostLoadUpdateTimeMS much higher didn’t do anything. Browsing through Papyrus logs showed all sorts of script errors, many from now uninstalled mods. The things is those errors are there anyway, even when the save does load. There’s no final debug error or something pointing to the EXACT script that’s causing the error. I mean, when the load fails, it abruptly stops at this line :
            [08/04/2013 - 12:26:36AM] InitWidgetLoader() Notice that the line is not repeated before the log stops. Not really sure what that means though. It seems like a script issue. I mean, why would I be able to load in an interior, then load whatever and keep playing, but cannot load an exterior save? If it was a critical or fixed error, it should occur repeatedly no matter the order I load the saves.

          • Halofarm August 3, 2013 10:03 pm

            It sounds to me that you’re just having a lot of things colliding with each other, rather than one specific problem, being as how inconsistent it is. I really don’t know how to advise you any more.

          • np August 4, 2013 12:04 am

            No luck so far. Tried disabling Beth HD textures, results random at best, usually CTD. Tried various cleaning save techniques, supposed clean ctd saves still can’t load, supposed clean good saves, still load.

            Only workaround I have right now is load a save that loads (small interior save, Breezehome and Wairmaiden’s have worked flawlessly so far), then load whatever save I want that normally causes CTD when loaded first. It’s a weird thing, but it works so I’ll just do that for now I suppose. It’s a bit crude but at least it works. I still can’t fathom what’s wrong.

            Truth is I haven’t tried this method before, if I recall correctly. That could mean that the saves themselves, with all their reported errors are not corrupt, but something seems to be off that prevents exterior saves from loading first. Also, reverting the Papyrus ini section to default didn’t fix it, so that’s not it I suppose. I’ve already tried with default ini files, no success there either.

            Well, SOMETHING must be colliding. The idiotic part is that some days ago I tried unchecking all mods, that didn’t work, then tried a clean install, I don’t remember what went on, only loading the mods I wanted, along with PinupPoser, didn’t play well. I’ll keep using the workaround I found till I have a stroke of genius, or till it somehow fixes itself. At least using the workaround works and I can use the mod, so not all was for naught ^o^

      All that info is in the readme, but yes, it replaces all the old pinup poser .esp files and adds lots more from the ancient nexus version, and does include the male poser and action poser beta.

    WOW this is awesome!!! Thank you soo much for all these pinups in one .esp file.
    but I have a question.. is there a way to make these into a like 1 selection ring the reason I ask is this really clutters up my inventory, I use all these poses & I like to change out fits on the fly too, & its hard to find the armor I want to use when there is soo many poser rings!!! anyways if not that’s ok I’ll get used to it. either way I love your poses they are outstanding, they keep me playing long after the game it’s self gets boring. Keep up the awesome work!! :)

      No, there isn’t. Or if there is, I sure don’t know how.

      It’s difficult enough making them all into one .esp. Just be happy it’s not taking up 1 .esp per ring pair.

      No. It’s not a problem. fore set it up like that because once the script has been called the animation is called. If it were constant effect then it would be constantly calling the animation. Why on Earth would you want that?

    Sure the girl isn’t the hottest, but then she’s not going to be the one posing in the game anyway. XD

    Good stuff! Naturally I can’t wait for the dramatic poses.

      I don’t really need it. I’ve been using deviantART, but I’ve made so many poses now, they all look too similar to other poses I’ve made.

      I’ve got plenty of pose ideas left for other pose types. It was just Pinup Poser, the main idea of which is sexy and cute poses, that was running out of steam.

    Just found the site, didn’t realize you left the Nexus. Looking forward to checking out the new version’s poses. Glad to hear you’re focused on action poses now. Those’ll be fun to play with. Glad to hear they’re all in one .esp now, that’s awesome. For the person complaining about all the rings, I can relate. I usually keep mine on my mount(god bless Convenient Horses). But maybe you might want to add an embedded container to your mod one day, like that Lustmord garter belt. Halo’s jewelry box or something like that. It’s not necessary but it’d be be cool. Anyways, thanks for sharing your works with us.

      I think that’s the kind of thing I’d want to focus on once I’m sure I’ve finished making poses. As you can see, I still have a lot more planned for the future, and with the exception of the SNSD poser, they’ll all be included in Pinup Poser S. The day I start working on ease of use features is the moment I admit that I never intend to make another pose, because as far as I’m concerned, every moment I spend on that shit is a moment I could be using to make another pose.

    I only have one problem though… any pose that I select doesn’t do anything once I choose to play it. The screen just shakes a little as if it wants to work and then nothing… I’m not using a custom race either if that matters. Can anyone help me out?

    Hahaha… never mind I figured it out, I did it all wrong. Reading the readmes actually proves to be… helpful at times ‘:D

    Anyway, this mod truly lives up to all of it’s good reviews and popularity. ( I might as well not repeat everything you’ve heard before right? XD ) I’m glad to have it working! All that time and effort has not gone unnoticed.

    I’m having an issue. Most poses are working, but some poses like crossbow and some bow, and a lot of others just have the animation failure pose going on, like the game can’t load any animations.
    How do I fix that?

    • Halofarm August 16, 2013 1:01 pm  Reply

      Did you read the readme? Like the part where is says that the male poser and action poser are incomplete?

  22. Chris August 18, 2013 3:52 am  Reply

    Silly question I guess, but how do I release an NPC from a pose. I know I jump to release me, but how do I make a NPC go back to being normal?

    • Halofarm August 18, 2013 8:21 am  Reply

      Hit them with the spell again. It’s a little buggy so you might have to do it 2 or 3 times before it works.

      Can’t anybody read a readme? I answer this question all the time. It says IN THE README that not all of the action poses or pinups for males are working. Readmes aren’t there for my fun. You’re supposed to read them.

      You could try right clicking it and saving as. The link works perfectly for me.
      Failing that, you can browse the file structure and find the download link directly. Just click on the mods button itself, rather than the subpages, and it’ll take you to the file tree where you can see all the direct links.

    This mod works great if I load through my regular Skyrim launch on Steam. However, If i load SKSE via NMM the gamer crashes on load. Any suggestions?

    • Halofarm August 31, 2013 10:07 am  Reply

      Well, I know it works fine with SKSE, since quite literally every person I know that uses the mod also uses SKSE. Most of them don’t use NMM though, so that’s the only weak link I can see. Either that, or somehow, some way, some SKSE based mod that doesn’t activate without SKSE is interfering with the mod, but I’ve had no reports of that, so I don’t think that’s likely. If that is what’s happening, I couldn’t begin to figure how to fix it.

      • MrBigStuff September 1, 2013 4:46 am  Reply

        Thanks for your help. Turns out that it was a minor issue. I actually didn’t have a SKSE shortcut on my desktop so I was only loading it via NMM. I put in a SKSE shortcut and ran the game through there and everything works great!

      Are you positive you’re using the correct spell for the selector you’re using? That’s the only thing I can think of.

        What two spells should I use for the NPC or Follower to make the poses work correctly? SOrry still kinda new at this.

        • Halofarm October 3, 2013 11:07 pm  Reply

          You still use the select RING to select the pose for the follower. The spell is basically the solution to make the NPC play a pose, you select them exactly the same way as you do for yourself.

    Hi, I’m currently experiencing CTD problems.

    When I go ingame and do anything, be it moving, unsheathing, turning the camera, the game CTD. However, this isn’t an FNIS generator problem, since all the models are moving fine. Funny thing is, I can let the game run for 10 minutes without doing anything, and it doesn’t crash.

    Next thing I tested was to use the console command “tfc” while ingame. It worked, and I can see that my character isn’t visible. I saved and reload, and my character is there.

    Thinking that the problem is solved, I tried moving my character, no CTD (yay), and even unsheathing my weapon. Equipping and using the rings are possible now, and no CTD will occur. HOWEVER, I am unable to do any attack or block animation, clicking the left and right mouse buttons does nothing, nor does it CTD anymore.

    Unfortunately the character I want to pose isn’t my main character but my follower, and since I can’t use the spell, this is beginning to frustrate me to no end.

    Any possible solutions for this?

      Sounds like you’re using PCEA. Are you?

      • jackal85 October 3, 2013 6:02 pm  Reply

        Alright, here’s what I did:

        Disabled PCEA, save, reload. It worked! Took a few poses, come out of game.

        Second load up, the game CTD upon loading. Uninstall, save, reinstall did not work. Uninstalling completely makes the game work though.

        And I was so happy during that first successful load :(

        • Halofarm October 3, 2013 6:13 pm  Reply

          Well, PCEA causes a lot of issues with mods that use special animations. I would assume having PCEA even installed (even if disabled) would continue causing the same problems to an extent.

          But honestly, I’ll say to you the same thing I say to everyone when I’m not sure how to help. If it’s causing this much trouble, just uninstall my pose mod and enjoy playing your game. It’s pointless to let the failures of one mod ruin your entire experience.

    • Halofarm October 4, 2013 8:44 am  Reply

      That’s an FNIS support question, not a Pinup Poser support question. If the problem occurred when you switched from one version of FNIS to the next, you need to ask fore what changed that might break the poser, because I haven’t updated yet, and have absolutely no idea.

    I’m not sure if this may help. But I was reading around because I have the glitch that Fnis gives with this mod “missing animfile”. I ADORE this mod and have been trying all I can to get it to work 100%

    To be fair, it was working but it jt suddenly stopped.

    Anyways. I was reading that someone mentioned on another mod’s site that it can be fixed by Updating the mod to the Latest FNIS version.

    I don’t know if it’s something that has to be done with the mod in general on your end – or if it’s something I could do in general. Just thought I would let you know here and see if it helps.

    • FeralSutha November 8, 2013 8:26 pm  Reply

      It said to update the mod itself to the latest FNIS version. Not updating TO the latest fnis version. Just thought I’d clarify that.

      It’s not a glitch. There ARE missing animfiles.

      Those are the ones I haven’t made yet. They’re listed in the behavior, but don’t exist in the folder. That’s all. The mod works just fine.

    Hi halofarm. I’m a huge fan of this mod. I love it :)

    I was wondering/hoping if it would be possible for you to make a quick couple pose.

    I’ve been hoping for ages to see a cradle carry (like a bride being carried) pose for this mod. I really really really hope you’ll be able to make this pose for me and your other fans who may want it.

    Keep up the amazing work :)

    • Halofarm November 17, 2013 10:53 pm  Reply

      I can’t make a cradle carry. Someone else has tried before and discovered exactly why I can’t do it. It required a lot of parts of the character to line up, and it’s physically impossible to make it work with 90% of Skyrim characters, due to skeleton and character scaling.

      • templebevelle November 18, 2013 1:56 am  Reply

        Thanks for the reply. That’s an absolute shame :(

        Although I found something in your mod that kind of works. by selecting Other Idle S11 the female goes into a perfect pose. The only problem is she is sitting on the ground.

        Is there any chance you could simple raise that pose off of the ground?

        I’ve been able to use glitches to get the female to float with the pose but it takes ages to do.

        • Halofarm November 18, 2013 5:31 pm  Reply

          Try using the tips in the tips file to get her into the right spot. That’s what I do when I need floating characters, or NOT floating characters, sometimes.

            I’ve been messing around with the console and it works well. I can show you some screen captures if you like.

            The only problem is there isn’t a decent pose for the carrier (a pose with both arms sticking out).

            I’ve been trying to figure out for ages now how to get these poses into Blender so I can tweak them but nothing seems to be working and i can’t find even a half decent tutorial online.

            Would it be a hassle for you to make the pose or better yet could you tell me how to put the poses in blender.

            Sorry for all the hassle but I’d really like to get this working.

          • Halofarm November 20, 2013 10:15 am

            Yes. It would be a hassle. I don’t have access to my desktop at the moment, and won’t for likely a week or more. As for getting poses into blender, that requires knowledge of a few things. First and foremost, a knowledge of making poses in blender, as well as a knowledge of how to import Skyrim nifs into blender, and how to use the hkxcmd program, in order to convert your hkx files.

            This can help you with how to use blender to make or edit poses: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Blender_make_a_pose_for_Fallout_3
            (Tip: you don’t need to do any of the nifskope stuff for Skyrim)
            This can help you with the Skyrim nifs: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3790/?
            This is hkxcmd, which comes with instructions on how to convert hkx to kf, and kf to hkx: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1797/?

I have the spells, but not the rings. I am running FNIS 4.1.1, which I was using when I initially started using Pinup Poser. I have tried un-installing both mods and that did not work. Any ideas?

    • Halofarm January 5, 2014 10:44 pm  Reply

      Neither one of those mods has anything that would affect PP. If you started a new game, it’s likely the script just didn’t fire properly when you started and didn’t add the items, since they are usually added the moment the new game loads. You can try adding them manually via the console. Type “help (ring name)” and then use the code given to add them.

    • Halofarm January 5, 2014 11:30 pm  Reply

      That’s a new one on me. All you should have to do is equip and unsheathe your weapon then press your hot key and that should be that. I have no idea why your weapon would be disappearing, and especially no idea why it would be switching for a spell.

    So, I’m having a bit of a strange problem.

    I’ve used this before, removed it when I was doing some housekeeping, and have now installed it again. But now, the character I was trying to pose (my Argonian) did not get the rings in her inventory, and even when I added them via console, the “play” rings don’t work at all.

    But my new Redguard character I made the other day (before reinstalling this mod) DOES have all the rings in her inventory and they all work perfectly.

    Any idea what’s wrong here and why it’s working for one character but not another?

    • Halofarm January 9, 2014 8:22 pm  Reply

      Hmm. My guess would be that the scripts never initialised in your Argonian’s game to begin with. I recommend switching the Pinup Poser mod off altogether and loading your game then saving it again. Switch the Pinup Poser mod back on again, then see if the items all get added and actually work that time.

      • IceTwenty January 9, 2014 8:48 pm  Reply

        Looks like that did it!

        Also, while I’m here, are you looking for fan submissions? ‘Cause I’ve got an album of screenshots using your mod and I’m going to be making another soon, now that I have it working again.

    • Halofarm January 29, 2014 9:04 am  Reply

      The only thing I can think of that would cause that is if you were running the latest FNIS without the latest Skyrim patch. Honestly though, that problem is with FNIS, not Pinup Poser, since the master_0.hkx is generated by FNIS, so I recommend asking on the nexus FNIS page for answers.

      Whether you would have trouble or not, a great number of these poses are made using images of real women as source.

      As I have said many times, I plan to make more male poses, but they’re not on my shortlist, mostly because I don’t enjoy making them, and I mod for my own enjoyment.

    Hello, I just have a question about installing Pinup Poser s1.15. When I update FNIS behavior V4.1, it says 2345 animations for 19 mods successfully included (characters), but is says it has 1 warning. Do you know what I have to do to fix it, or is it not a problem? Thanks for the help.

    • Halofarm February 4, 2014 8:43 pm  Reply

      Usually when I see warnings in FNIS, they’re meaningless. For example, it warns me to select a patch for XPMS, except it automatically patches XPMS, so I don’t have to do that at all. For some people it also warns of an illegal install directory, but works anyway. The warning is at the very top of the log. See what it is, and see if it’s seriously, or something innocuous like that.

    • Ulfric Stoarmcloak May 9, 2014 3:29 pm  Reply

      Everytime i run my FNIS, i get 32 warnings.. those 32 warnings are there since a year and a half, they are meaningliss indeed. To see if they hurt your game or not, go to qasmoke, get a pick of every weapon, try to do every possible animation for the vanilla game with swords,maces, running forward, backward, etc… if the charachter stands still at any of the animations, it’s either that the FNIS installation is missing something (a reinstall will mostly fix the problem) or if you are trying animations for other mods, the mods scripts got scrambled, or such stuff.. starting a new game will fix everything up.

    Hello, I really appreciate your work and want to use Pinup Poser, but I’m getting CTD when loading a savegame when Pinup Poser is installed. I talked to fore because the crashes were happening after I generated the FNIS thingy, but he just repeatedly told me that it’s not FNIS’ fault and I should use Memory patches which I already do. Browsing through the Pinup Poser comments didn’t gave me a solution as well. I can only load older saver or saves in interiors like qasmoke. Most normal interiors and exterior causes CTD when loading the save game. Somehow loading a working save game and then a corrupted one gives no CTD. Can you help me almighty Halofarm? :/

    • Halofarm February 23, 2014 11:41 pm  Reply

      That’s normal. For some systems it just happens. It’s been happening to some of us for years. It’s directly related to just how many mods you have installed and just how much load your system can take. The saves are not corrupted, your game just can’t load the assets all at once. Most of us use a workaround where we use “coc qasmoke” from the main menu (yes, the main menu with new game, continue, etc) and then load our saved game from there.

      • Dmitrij February 24, 2014 3:30 pm  Reply

        Hm, I’m just confused because my system can handle anything I put in skyrim except Pinup Poser. Even with barely any mods installed (i did a clean install yesterday) my game keeps crashing. After getting all mods (150+) on my clean install the game went still fine as long as Pinup poser wasn’t installed. I also tried to delete all animation and behavior files except one and running FNIS. Most animations were missing of course, but the game still crashed and only the quasmoke workaround worked. Deleting the last animation and behavior file fixed it again even with Pinup Poser.esp still running.
        Is possible for you to make a Lite version maybe?

        • Halofarm February 24, 2014 8:00 pm  Reply

          No, no lite version. I was asked by MANY people to put it all into 1 .esp file. By no means will I go about reversing that again.

          I think one of my followers tracked the issue you’ve having to being a load speed issue. Basically, in most areas, there are other characters who need to load animations, and the game can’t load all the animation files fast enough when you’re using a customised master_0.hkx. The workaround is the one I told you about, because it loads player animations first, I think. Either way, you can either use the workaround or uninstall the mod, because there’s really no other way to solve the issue.

          • Dmitrij March 1, 2014 8:16 pm

            It’s really stupid to see the game crashing 2 seconds after being in game and even being able to move. By now I created a save game within qasmoke as workaround. It is a lot faster than loading a new! save with “coc qasmoke” everytime.

    How do you use the “Paired” poses? I remember seeing how somewhere but I cant find it.

    • Halofarm February 25, 2014 9:17 am  Reply

      You have to get them lined up as well as possible, then go into TFC 1 camera mode and use the getpos/setpos/getangle/setangle commands to get them lined up the rest of the way. It’s a long and boring process, which is why I don’t put much emphasis on pair poses.

      Make absolutely sure you installed the mod correctly. Your character shouldn’t freeze if everything was installed correctly.

    I would just like to say I appreciate the massive amount of work that went into this.. as well as point out that upon uninstalling all add-on follower mods… it ran like a champ for me. Obviously there’s a compatibility issue between the said follower mod’s and Pinup… but of the two i am far more willing to give up my followers. Hope this helps.

    • Halofarm March 12, 2014 9:17 am  Reply

      No no, the issue isn’t with Pinup Poser and the followers. It’s the way the Skyrim engine handles the animation loading. I’ve had a few people mention this to me recently. I assume you’re talking about the way your game will crash on load if you have a few followers following you. That’s basically because, when you load the game first, it has to load in all the extended animation files created by FNIS. Pinup Poser adds literally almost a thousand new ones. When you have followers closeby, or even if you’re in a highly populated area, the game can’t load all the animations in time, because the animation tables are bigger than it expects. The workaround is that when you first load the game (as in, from the main menu, where it says “New Game”, “Continue” etc.) open the console, type “coc qasmoke”, then load the game you want to load from there. Don’t ask me why this works, but it has done for pretty much anyone else who’s run into the issue, including myself very occasionally.

  58. Nanners March 12, 2014 9:13 am  Reply

    Sorry to post again.. but i think the issue is likely that a sub par system, (this is my issue anyway.. ) is having problems loading all the animations for both you and your followers.. which.. I BELIEVE.. (don’t quote me here XD) may be assigned the same animations as the player.. so if you don’t have a heavy duty system… “bloop.”

    • Halofarm March 12, 2014 11:00 am  Reply

      Haaa, you wrote this just as I was typing my long response, it seems. Yes. Pretty much. Since all the PP animations are shared, if you have too many characters on screen at time of loading, the game will crash, basically. That’s the short version of my other long response.

      There’s a file that comes with the poser that explains how you can position the pair poses.

    • Halofarm May 1, 2014 11:47 pm  Reply

      Really, everything I could tell you is already either in the FNIS install instruction or my own instructions. As long as you follow them all correctly, you shouldn’t have any persistent crashing.

    BEST.POSE.MOD.EVER. I love it, and love the tips on screenshooting too, didn’t know like half of ‘em. I have one question though, when i used to update my FNIS before this mod, i had like 1600 animations generated, after installing it, got like 2300 animations generated, the mod is working well, but i’m just wondering, how many animations does the mod include? I only found 10 in the alteration section, i’m just curious if there is any other poses or anything like that. ooh and make those 2 questions *sorry*, I really really really want to know what texture,facemorphs,tints,etc.. mods you are using for your character to look like that, because it’s awesome to the max, and you are awesome as well ^^

    • Halofarm May 9, 2014 2:52 pm  Reply

      I think you really ought to look in the normal readme file itself for how to access all the animations. It tells you how to use the mod properly. Between Pinup Poser and Halo’s Poser there are some 1100 poses.

      • Nods May 9, 2014 3:09 pm  Reply

        Wow, I knew that 10 poses wasn’t just it, was pretty damn sure; nobody would make a monthly update for 10 poses xD . Sorry for my ignorance. I guess i gotta read everything next time I install a mod, I just thought that every post had it’s own poses, but i found out that all the poses are in one file, really incridible work you got. Thanks for the great mod and endorsed in my heart <3 .

  62. Rider June 4, 2014 1:52 am  Reply

    Is it possible to pose followers, and if so, how do you do it? I assume it must be or you would not have paired poses.

    • Halofarm June 4, 2014 7:31 am  Reply

      There are spells, in your spell list.

  63. Rider June 5, 2014 12:21 am  Reply

    I figured it out. You have to use it in connection with the FNIS Spells. You have to select FNIS NPC Idles in the spell list, then choose the PinUp Spell for the rings, put on the select ring, then the play ring and cast the spell with the hand that has the PP spell in it.

    I thought I would post that so anyone else who can’t figure it out can read it.

    Took it a while to sink in. For one thing, I had never used the FNIS spells.

    Great Mod, Halo!

      You know that information is in the readme, right?

    Well, I have overclocked quad core i7s with 16gb of RAM and a dual classified gtx780ti and I get crash on load after first use too so, I don’t think it is a hardware issue.

    • Halofarm June 22, 2014 8:58 pm  Reply

      No. It’s a Skyrim issue. It has to do with how the game loads animations. The usual workaround is to “coc qasmoke” on the main menu after bringing up the console, then loading the game from there.

      • Identity001 June 24, 2014 6:56 am  Reply

        Awesome, workaround is great. Works well. One other question, is there a means to which I can make an npc use your poses?

        • Identity001 June 24, 2014 8:42 am  Reply

          Nvm lol. Just discovered that this came with spells to make the npc do the poses. Thank you very much for this mod.

    I did it! after several days even weeks of trying to find a solution to fix the ctds, corrupt saves, infinite loading etc problems.. none of the above or “fixes” on other sites worked try this and let me know if it fixes it for you step 1 download this http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16712/?
    step 2 run boss so it sorts out your mods clean your dirty mods then
    step 3 run FNIS
    step 4 Run your game ???

    • Halofarm July 14, 2014 10:24 pm  Reply

      I would say you’d be better off downloading XPMS and not that. That thing is very out of date.
      As for running boss, cleaning your mods and running FNIS, all of those things you should be doing as standard, not something special you do specifically to make PP work.

    i need help, i’ve got the pinup poser but when i go into my game it doesn’t spawn the spells in my inventory to us the mod, what do i do?

    • Halofarm August 12, 2014 8:21 pm  Reply

      That would be because Pinup Poser doesn’t use spells. Read the readme. It uses rings and lesser powers.

  67. Cade August 14, 2014 3:51 am  Reply

    I installed the mod and fnis but when I try to use the rings for posing I can select it but when I try to do it. It doesn’t do anything at all. Fix?

    • Halofarm August 14, 2014 8:09 am  Reply

      Sounds to me like you forgot to run FNIS. Read the readme in the file for information on what to do to install, and also possible things that might have gone wrong.

      • Cade August 14, 2014 12:07 pm  Reply

        This says not to use nmm does that exclude other mod organizers from use with this?

        • Halofarm August 14, 2014 4:21 pm  Reply

          I imagine it would. Mod organiser itself, for example, uses profiles. If your files aren’t in your skyrim folder when you run FNIS, it’s not gonna work. You ought to install PP to your base Skyrim install.

          • Cade August 14, 2014 8:41 pm

            I installed it and I updated fnis behavior it still has not worked yet I will keep trying things though.

            Also it may sound stupid and it might have been better to ask this earlier but. How do you “activate” the esp’s.

    Hello Halofarm

    First I have to say what you have done here is simply epic! I take my hat off, state-of-the-art mod!

    The CTD when loading games is an annoyance but the features your mod offers make up for that and more. My solution is installing the mod whenever I feel like taking pics, and taking it out for usual gameplay; taking off the heavy burden of loading those animations that aren’t needed for killing a couple sabrecats.

    Now I have a problem and I found only one similar post, a guy that was using PCEA or something and was unable to swing weps/block/cast spells. I have that same problem but I’m not using PCEA. Tested both with keyboard and xbox controller. Loading other saves won’t fix it either.

    Again thanks for your wonderful piece of art !

    • Halofarm August 16, 2014 1:09 am  Reply

      Did rebooting the game fix it? Usually this problem occurs when you activate a pose while you’re in TFC. You should never activate a pose while in TFC. Other than that, I don’t know why it would happen. I don’t even recall any other reports of it.

      • ArchPhaeton August 16, 2014 2:58 am  Reply

        Seems like that was the problem. I just tested it, and after pushing a play button while in ~tfc rmb and lmb stop working ingame. They work fine on menus but while playing they do absolutely nothing; rebooting the game fixes this. If you save in this state the problem persists after rebooting the game.

        Guess it’s my fault for going pose-happy, sometimes I find a nice background and start takin pics from that angle just switching poses,

        NOW I understand what you meant at step 5 of the “Usage” in the readme :c

        Again thanks for your fast reply, may Talos guide you.

    I ran a consistence check on generate fnis and it says I am missing animations? Also when updating it shows that it’s reading all the pinup files but they all have question marks after them. Really hoping to figure this out soon.

    • Halofarm August 16, 2014 8:05 am  Reply

      These things are explained in the readme.

      Q: When I update FNIS after installing this mod/run a consistence check, it warns me that there are lots of animations missing. What’s wrong?
      A: When FNIS is updating your main behaviors file, it reads smaller behaviors files. If there is an animation listed in the behavior file that is not present on your hard drive, FNIS will inform that it’s missing. THIS IS NOT AN ERROR. THIS IS BECAUSE I HAVE INCOMPLETE POSE MODULES IN THE MOD. DO NOT WORRY.

  71. EVO shocker August 16, 2014 2:14 pm  Reply

    I have installed everything updated fnis and I got puppeteer mod to work but when I am in game and I select a ring in my hot bar I can pick an idle. Then when I try to use it it does not work and just makes an in game clicking noise.

  72. ArchPhaeton August 17, 2014 5:54 pm  Reply

    Quick question, after installing Pinup and HaloPoser, does the game still load (or attempt to load) the thousand animations if I deactivate both .esp files?

    • Halofarm August 17, 2014 6:21 pm  Reply

      Yes. They are loaded by the FNIS master file. The esp has no relation to the behaviors themselves.

      • ArchPhaeton August 17, 2014 6:39 pm  Reply

        Damn… I thought I could disable them like that. Pasting and deleting all those files is annoying when I just want a quick pic (;

  73. ArchPhaeton August 18, 2014 8:47 am  Reply

    Incidentally is there another way to quickly delete those files without going manually through the folders?

    • Halofarm August 18, 2014 3:31 pm  Reply

      I’m sure you could make up some sort of a package for easy installation and uninstallation using a mod organiser, but I don’t really know much about that.
