One for All

Skyrim Pose Collection Merged

Post image is completely unrelated.

The time has finally come! Any loyal followers of my posing work have no doubt been getting somewhat perplexed over the growing pile of .esp files in their load order for pose mods.

Today, I am here to (hopefully) solve that problem as we move forward into more and more poses. Now, I can honestly say that I have no idea how to merge every pose item in-game, but I have figured out how to merge the .esp files, and I will add, this should also provide greater compatibility between pose modules, since every single item now has its own reference ID and reference number.

I have created a merged file for every module which currently appears in the main release. This means, if this method proves successful, once modules reach a complete enough state to be added to the main package, they will be merged into the main .esp file, and stop taking up extra space in your load order.

Right now, the .esp has marged:

Pinups 2
Pinups 3
Pinups Other 1
Pinups Other 2
Pinups EX1
Pinups EX2
Pinups EX3
Pinups for Men
Action Poser

The download for testing:

READ THIS BIT CAREFULLY: That file is the merged .esp file for the above mentioned modules. I have tested it thoroughly myself, and everything has worked for me. HOWEVER, I would like people to take the file away and test it themselves. PLEASE NOTE that if you were previously a victim of crashing due to PCEA, this might fix the problem HOWEVER if it doesn’t, please DO NOT REPORT THIS AS A BUG, since I obviously don’t know how to solve it and will not delay adding this file to the main package on that account.

PLEASE, people who decide to test it, tell me whether it works for you or not, so I can speed along the process of releasing it as part of the main package. It doesn’t require extensive testing. Try a pose from each poser. If one works, they should all work (except for the male posers, obviously. In that case, the ones which have been added will work).

EDIT: And I shouldn’t need to say this, but just in case: Remember to turn off the existing .esp files when testing.

It works fine. I’ve tested from all the pose categories 4-6 poses no problems at all.

Hey Halo. That PCEA crash. On the nexus page it is explained how to work around that. Save your game. Type player.setrace [any vanilla race] e.g. nordrace . Load your saved game. Then it works. :)

Well, it’s nice to know there’s a fix… but it seems like a bit of a long way to go. It’d be nice if there were a slightly more permanent fix.

I remember in a previous thread you mentioned that all the pinup versions are compiled on different versions of FNIS. This was when I made the observation that the newer EX packs worked without the workaround or crashing when used in conjunction with PCEA.

Perhaps a recompile would fix the problem?

I was later informed that the newest one causes the crashing again, so likely, recompiling will break whatever isn’t already broken.

I decided to test the new esp without using the pcea bypass on a whim today, and it worked!

I’m running PCEA 3.2, by the way, in case anyone else would like to try. 3.4 crashes my game whenever I enter a new cell.

No fix I know of, sorry. Also, are Pinups4.esp and Pinups5.esp in the version 1.1 release of Skyrim Pose Collection the same as Pinups Other 1 and Pinups Other 2?

    • Halofarm April 24, 2013 9:02 am  Reply

Yes. Pinup4 and Pinup5 were just the .esp names.

        K. Thx! :)

Hi, I am new to this mod, so i might be asking a complete brainless question. I downloaded the all 4 one pack, but when i load my safe file no new rings or spell are added. I was able to get the standing/sitting play spell and the corresponding idle select ring via console command (no idle spell i can find however) … but when i equip the ring no menu show up for selection. what have i missed? and yes i do use FNIS and has ran it before the load (all my other animation mod are working fine) Please any help would be appreciated as this seems to be the best mod out there for screenshot taking. thx

Did you actually install the main mod first? This .esp is just a merged version of the existing one for testing. All of the files are in the main download.

I know I was asking something very stupid … no I did not have the main mod =P, thx a bunch.

I am really sorry that I have to post another stupid question … I could not find the link for the main mod … I even looked in and nothing seems to be the right file, can you point me out to where this wonderful mod could be =)

Been looking around but can’t seem to find any related issues. Is there a known issue where SkyUI stops accepting mouse input for items after using the rings hotkeyed on your favorites menu? Cause I can use whatever is hotkeyed but after doing several poses I can’t seem to select anything in inventory afterwards….nothing that isn’t hotkeyed through MCM or in the game bound keys will allow me to select it in my inventory. I am running the latest version of SkyUI and I’ve also ensured I run FNIS multiple times but this is definitely an interface issue.

Just wondering if anyone here is familiar with it.

    • Halofarm April 29, 2013 9:23 am  Reply

Really, the rings are simple items. They don’t have anything that should be causing a problem like that. They bring up menus, but none related to SkyUI and they run scripts, but so do so many other in-game items.

I also run SkyUI (The last version compatible with Skyrim 1.8, I think) and I haven’t run into any odd problems like that.

The loss of control isn’t caused by the poser mod. It is caused by camera switching. The one thing I know will cause it is if you are in free camera mode (TFC) and change the pose on your character. The camera will switch back to third person mode, but the controls still think they are in free camera mode and the mouse will no longer affect things in the interface.

I wasn’t aware that issue also affected menus. I was under the impression it was only to do with weapon related input.

I’m sorry, but for some reason I can’t found the download for this one for all ( 404 error ) did you move it or merged with your another mods?
If yes, then which one it is? thank you for advanced ;)

It’s the very next post on the front page. As I said in this post, I added this .esp into the main Skyrim Pose Collection file.

Why didn’t you include the Dramatic Poses in the collection?

    • Halofarm May 6, 2013 9:27 pm  Reply

Because there are only 7 of them. I don’t include posers in the collection until they’re at a reasonable level of completion.

Halofarm, I have been wanting to use your pose mod for quite some time but every time I install your mod (manually as instructed), it crashes just after the game loads a save. I wanted to ask other people, but I figure asking the mod author might be the best thing to do. Is it some sort of conflict or something?

I am using a custom race with a custom skeleton, if it helps in any way.

    • Halofarm June 18, 2013 7:44 am  Reply

That happens to me very occasionally, but not all the time. Custom race and custom skeleton don’t make a whole lot of difference. Perhaps try installing using an older version of FNIS. That’s the only thing I can think of which would cause the particular issue you’re talking about. It’s not common, but a small few people find that a slightly older version of FNIS works better than the newest version, where the newest version causes crashes like you’ve mentioned.

Aside from that, if you use PCEA, that might be interfering, though I had been told the issues with PCEA were fixed when I released the compiled version.

Halofarm, just wanna tell you that the poses (All in one) worked! I googled and used the solution for PCEA problem people recommended, runs smoothly without crashing.

    1. Uninstalled FNIS 3.5 (version didn’t matter, I think)
    2. Manual install the poses
    3. Installed FNIS
    4. Activate the poses with FNIS tools
    5. Play.

It seems that the poses need to be installed before installing FNIS. Maybe it has something to do with the folder structure or load order. Just shows that BOSS is not exactly cure-all in this part. Poses loaded first, then FNIS. Just giving feedback to you, there might be another person who will be having problems with the poses like me. :P

Strangely, this worked once for me, and hasn’t worked again. It’s a really weird situation, because I managed to fix it previously, and now it’s gone and screwed itself up again.

It’s in the main mod pack. In the later post.

    Same here – Error 404.
Can we please have a working link?

Can you please actually read my responses to the other comments, instead of making the same mistake the previous person did.
