More Posin’

PUPEX3

And the posing continues. I don’t know if any of you keep eyes on the mod track page, but anyone who does, might have noticed I also began work on Dramatic Poser. I don’t really know what poses I’m making for it. It’s a bit random. Just stuff I imagine having some kind of sad music, or fight scene music behind it. That kind of crap.

Anyway, being as I have a blog now and I can just keep you guys up to date periodically, anyone interested can go ahead and download the link below.

Once again, this WILL NOT WORK without the main package installed, and since this is a new poser alpha as well as a PUPEX3 update, remember to run FNIS before loading it up.

Lastly, PUPEX3 is now up to number 200. DPoser is only up to episode 6. Don’t start leaving comments about missing poses.

    Thank you, really appreciate it. Though I’m having trouble figuring out how paired animations are supposed to work. Can anyone help me out there?

      The hard way.

      The animations ARE meant to fit together, but you have to go to a lot of effort to make them do so. It’s way beyond my abilities to automate them.

      I’m not sure if I included the screenshooting tips file in the main file download. Basically, you have to put them together like puzzle pieces using a few different commands. You can do some rough positioning beforehand, but then you need to go into “TFC 1″ mode, which will freeze everything, and allow you to adjust characters to clip through each other (which you will need to do). Then you will need to adjust one or both of the characters by clicking on them from the console and placing them as needed using the commands “Getpos X” (this can also be done with Y and Z, for the 3 different axes) and “Setpos X” (again, Y or Z works too). These commands allow you to move them into place. Getpos X will call a number, for example 10567. You would them use Setpos X to adjust that number. I don’t recommend making big changes until you know what you need. I would usually try Setpos X 10570 in that case. A move of 3 units could be too much, or it could be nowhere near what I need, depending on the situation. You can also rotate the using Getangle Z and Setangle Z in the same fashion. You can only use the Z axis for characters, since they can only turn on that axis. The angles work on a 360 degree setup. So getangle z might return 247.76. You might want them to only change a few degrees, so setangle z 250 might be enough. Maybe you want them to turn around completely, then you’d use setangle z 67. A word of caution about setangle in TFC 1 mode. It won’t work instantly, but it’s nothing to worry about. You can force it to react by inputting the SAME setpos command as you inputted last time. Your character won’t move, because they’re already there, but it will make the engine realise they should be facing a different direction.

      That’s probably a lot of text to misunderstand, but I’ve never been very good at explaining this stuff. I hope it helps.
