Halo's Poser S 1.3

More poses so soon? Yes!

It’s my birthday today, and as such I decided to get YOU GUYS a present. It’s not much, but it’s the thought that counts.

Here’s what’s been added:

  • Added and completed Halo’s Poser 16 module.
  • Added and completed Halo’s Poser 17 module.
  • So that’s 162 new poses. HP16 is the usual sexy pose business, but HP17 is a little more special. HP17 is made up entirely, all 81 poses, by weapon poses. Some are left handed, some are right handed, some are dual wielding. I can’t guarantee they’ll all work perfectly with every sword, because all swords are designed differently, ESPECIALLY modded ones, but what I can say is there are plenty of poses to have a look through.

    Oh, and I restored the old white panties texture I’d accidentally made black in the last release.

      Just a word of thanks for your Skyrim poser mod. My site wouldn’t exist without it.

      Though early on I made reference screenshots of every one of them and now it’s so outdated it’s useless! Damn you for keeping adding more! :) (and bless you too for the same thing)

      I never wrote you before but I really want to thank you for your work, It’s really amazing, I love make screenshots in game and your mod It’s absolutly a must have! Thank you again! :)

        There are 2. 1 in the Undergrind which you switch it to red mode, and 1 in one of the private rooms in the Red Robin Lounge.

      For some reason, several of your object poses – along with all the poses in Gomapero 3 and Object poses in other mods – don’t seem to work. The object sticks around for the first second of the animation, then vanishes leaving the animation by itself and looking obviously lacking. Any idea why this is happening?

      after a year I decided to install the FNIS to use this mod, I have just a few questions, you recommend that I use this mod on my main saved game?
      or use it in another for complications with animations or other bugs?
      I still play normal if use occasionally this poses?

        I’ve never had any animation bugs as a result of using FNIS or this mod. I use this on all of my saves, whether the main purpose is playing the game or taking screenshots. I don’t think it should be a problem for you.

        I just use fair skin for her no fur textures now. I will not be releasing a no fur version of her though.

      The file “Halo’sPoser.7z” has been blocked. The file is larger than the configured file size limit.

        I have no idea what that message means. I’ve tested the file myself and had others check it and they have no problems either. Perhaps whatever you’re using doesn’t like the redirect I use to track download count.

      Halo, how do you create your hkx pose files? Do you import a skeleton into 3dsmax and edit it, then export the kf into a hkx? Or are you using some other process?

        I don’t use 3ds. I use blender. I make normal blender poses and then convert them from kf files to hkx files using hkxcmd, which is a tool that can be found on the nexus.

      The HaloPoser wont work with my character. I’ve got all the rings, but he just stands there in the idle position on every ring I put on.

            A lot of people have said that installing using NMM doesn’t work properly. I suggest installing manually.

              You didn’t say if you actually ran FNIS though. Did you run it? If you don’t run FNIS after pose mods are installed, then the poses still won’t work.

      So how do i pose NPC’s, i see how to pose my player, but for the life of me i cannot pose NPCs nor do i see a ring to do it either.

        Check your powers menu. There are powers to do it.

            There are no powers for your character. If there are powers in your powers menu, they are for posing NPCs.

      What skeletons do you use for your anim objects? XPMSE, or vanilla skeletons? How do you attach them- in nifskope, or in blender?

        You don’t use skeletons for animobjects. That’s not how animobjects work. Animobjects are just static. It IS possible to attach an animobject to a specific bone by positioning it globally relative to that bone and then using the name of that bone as a string in the nif.

        The textures are compatible, so if you wanted to replace her body, or if you’re worried putting her in UNPCM clothes might cause problems, they’re both fine. Just don’t mix outfit PARTS between body types, if the outfits come in pieces like mine often do. That’s all you have to worry about.

      I have a bit of an issue that I hope you could help with.
      I have your poser installed with mod organizer, but without the scripts folder and the esp.
      I’ve ran FNIS.
      Then I installed Poser Hotkeys from the nexus, which gives me an MCM menu for the poses so I don’t have to use the rings and such.
      Now the poses themselves all work correctly, but the ones with the objects don’t. By that I mean the objects are not there but the poses still work.
      I’ve tried reinstalling the poser and rerunning fnis, and tried starting a new profile with a fresh save.

        That would be because you need the esp for the objects to work. Installing poser hotkeys doesn’t mean you can go without the esp if you want object poses.

            The mod author obviously doesn’t understand how object poses work then. Either that or his generator isn’t working correctly.

      Hey Halo!
      I was wondering to ask you about how you create these poses. What tools do you use? can you do it with FNIS? Is it complicated? Do i need to use blender? Is it possible to use some of your base poses to configure around with it? I was hoping to learn something from you if you’re willing to share the knowledge. Whether you explain or not, I want you to know how wonderful this mod was and how much fun I had taking screenshots with it. Thanks for all you did!!

        I’ve removed your email link. Don’t want you getting spam mails just for posting on my blog. With regards to how to make poses, you don’t need any emails. The way I do it, the basic process is done exactly the same way as Fallout 3 pose making.


        Both of which can be learnt in these links. The other important stuff to learn is how to import meshes into blender: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3790/?
        You need this so you can import your body of choice and skeleton.

        After that, the only things to remember are to delete the bones BETWEEN the legs (this solves problems later with positioning, because now the base point of the scene will be your character’s base point), to insert your keyframe into 2 consecutive frames, because Skyrim needs to consider it an actual animation. You also don’t need to do ANYTHING to your kf files with nifskope.

        Once you have your kf files, you convert them using this wonderful tool: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1797/?

        After you’ve got your hkx file out of hkxcmd, it’s ready for in-game use. I can’t give you much more info than that. It’s pretty much everything you need to know.

        EDIT: I forgot to mention the Fallout tutorials don’t tell you how to import a skeleton to your body. That’s easy enough though. Once you’ve imported your body of choice, import your skyrim skeleton.nif (do not use their Fallout skeleton, and do not use skeleton_female.nif, even for females) after selecting your body mesh, and choose the option to import only skeleton and parent selected meshes.

I still have a lot to learn and experiment with various things with what you shared with me and the people who may read it. I really want to stress how thankful I am that you took the time to answer my questions.       I’d like to make a small suggestion. I have almost every posers and I love yours very much; with more than 1000 poses its possibilities are endless. Though I find myself using more others because their poses are divided into groups. Being your poses much more than any other, I think they are much more than all the others put together, dividing them into groups is even more important/convenient. If it is not clear I am talking about something like: Standing – Knee – Sit – Laying and maybe other groups, like Funny – Action or whatever, but mainly the first 4. When I want to make a shot I already know the general position I’d like the character to be, at least regarding one of the 4 options and browsing a 1000 poser with all mixed together is sometime annoying. Hope you’ll take it into consideration. Cheers.

      Hey, just want to say love your mod, thanks for giving me more reasons to waste more hours and hard drive space doing nothing but taking pictures of my chars ;)

      You probably get this question a lot, but are there any plans for a similar mod for Fallout 4 once the CK drops?

        Everything included in that file is used for the poses. The meshes and textures are used for the object poses. If you delete the meshes and textures, the poses will appear without the objects.

        The same way. You might have to do it a couple of times. Sometimes it’ll just re-pose them.

      I hope you are not offended by my question but has the ctd on load problem been resolved? Because i remember using your poses back in 2013 and, much to my regret i had to remove them due to those issues.

      I’ve always wanted to reinstall your mod (because of the epic screenshots i could create) so i thought i would ask before giving it a try again.

        No, it’s not fixed because it’s an engine bug and not something anyone can fix, but if you’d asked back then, I would have told you to use “coc qasmoke” as a console command on the main menu and then load your game from there, because that’s the workaround and it works just fine. Also ENBoost has things which can help prevent the issue too.

      I haven’t downloaded the latest poser version yet, I’ll download and install it tomorrow.

      I wanted to ask something, though.

      the area around my follower’s armpits is distorted and the texture looks bad. Could you please tell me which textures you use, because I looked at your screenshot here and the character doesn’t seem to have the problem:

        It’s just a custom edit. There’s no detail on the armpit of my texture to get messed up. That’s all.

        I don’t really know of any. That’s why I had to do it myself. In their quest for realism, basically every texture mod out there has detail right on the armpit. None of them seem to care about how badly it deforms in poses or animations.

        Best to read the readme for install instructions regarding versions.

      For the inverted nipples textures is there anyway that you could release them or at least the source you’ve gotten the from. I know it uses the UNPCM body. It’s a wonderful piece of work!

      Hey Halo,

      I come to you because no matter where I ask no one replies. Whether it be LL or Nexus.

      I have been making my own poses and armors now for quite some time. My 3ds Max 2012 expired tonight since it was the student version and is no longer available to renew @ Autodesk.

      Of course all my plugins, skeleton rigs were dependent on that version so what do I do?

      More so, how are you still making poses and all that good stuff? Do you use a different software?

        It’s because I use blender, not 3ds. Blender is free and all the old versions are archived so there’s never an issue of the version you need being unavailable.

      I just recently switched from nexus mod manager to Mod Organizer.

      I absolutely love your poses. For whatever reason I installed the latest version. Verified that the mod is installed correctly. The spell rings were showing up in my inventory however not working properly.

      I did run FNIS after installation. So I’m not exactly sure what the problem is.

        I can’t provide support for MO. I don’t use it. However I do know that installing Halo’s Poser isn’t as straightforward with it.

      Hi Halofarm!
      Thanks very much for your Poser and Aether Suite mods. I’m enjoying them tremendously.

      Since I am new to this I have a question. Is there a simple way to make NPCs behave normally again after I’m done dumping poses on them, other than the TC console trick that’s explained in the readme?

        I would recommend you give Poser Hotkeys a go. I’ve never taken it apart to know exactly how it works, but not only will it make posing NPCs easier for you anyway (though I still favour the old method for shooting my player) but it has a hotkey to stop the NPC posing which will always return them to fully working AI mode, not the weirdly broken state they end up in with HP’s spells. It will also turn off their other AI while in pose, so they won’t start gliding around on you.

      Hi, thank for you great work, but I try since 3 day to get this working, read all your readmes seen videos etc.

      When I got the file (S 1.5) there was no data folder just the 00 normal version with directly the texture, meshes etc, so I put theses into the data and overwrite plus the .esp, fnis did not that them, then I aded it with the NMM, beside the fact the now the folder was not in the right place (cause the main one is not called “data”) the fnis now saw the anim. and added over 4000 ones for a total of 6500 aprox (so I’m not over the fnis limit) I already have fnis, sexlab, zaz anims all working well. and with Halo whatever the way I try; using pair ring select, make my choice then to select play, or in fav with a group or even from the racemenu they all end up with a “T pose”

      At first after some check I tough it was because I selected “Gender” patch in fnis so I recopied all anim and esp and runned fnis without that box checked it that changed nothing.

        I have no idea what’s wrong here. You install the 00 folder manually. Run fnis. Activate the esp. That’s all there is to it. If you’re not getting any errors from FNIS then it should all be working. Some of the pair poses are missing anyway. As long as you did the steps I just said, you shouldn’t have any issues. No one else has reported any problems except for having too many animations.

          Hi thank for your fast reply, do the content of the 00 folder go in the data (to be incorporated with the folders of the same names) or the 00 folder itself stand into data (which is rare but already seen some mod working that way)

      HI, I just found what it was, was checking my load order and seen that I had a dozen animation mod that was unaware of it turned out to be from XP32 New Animations Package, there is one package for each race, maybe I got that as optional file with the XP32 Max Sleleton Ext, So I let the XP32 on but unchecked all the race packs and now your mod work.
