Halo’s Poser S1.1

Halo's Poser S 1.1

And the everyone’s been waiting for, it’s a poser update!

In case anyone was wondering, the reason this hasn’t been updated in so long is because I hurt my back quite badly, not long after coming back from the US, so I wasn’t really modding much for quite a while. However, this update is bigger than the usual, so hopefully I’ll be forgiven.

Here’s the changelog:

  • Completed Halo’s Poser 11 module
  • Added and completed Halo’s Poser 12 module
  • Added and completed Halo’s Poser 13 module
  • Added and completed Halo’s Poser 14 module
  • Completed Halo’s Pairs 2 Module
  • Added 24 new object poses to Halo’s Objects Poser module
  • The object poses have made the install quite a bit bigger than it used to be, BUT, on the plus side, if you have the Aether Suite, or the Crap Chute (or both) installed, then the assets are intentionally in the same place to save space on duplicate files across mods.

    Other notes about this update:

  • The object poses are all lore unfriendly, they also still require vanilla scales. I hadn’t originally intended to release them, since they were made for a specific use, but I changed my mind.
  • Some of the new pair poses are different from the old style. To line them up, the characters need to be placed in the same position on the X, Y, and Z axes, and rotated the same as well. This means they only work in TFC 1 mode, or SGTM 0.lotsofzeros1. I don’t apologise for this, because it makes lining characters up A LOT easier.
  • There are a lot of poses in this update made to form. For example, pole dancing poses, smoking poses, some BDSM poses, and poses meant for sitting or leaning on various pieces of furnite, so not all of them will work straight out of the box.
  • All of that rambling said, here’s the download, and enjoy!

PS: If you’re using the XPMSE plugin, please load Halo’s Poser.esp AFTER XPMSE.esp, or you’ll find the new object poses will have the incorrect object (placeholder floating pantsu).

Awesome! Quick question… how do you get your followers or other characters to take on poses, or how do I control them to be able to pose them in the right position? I’ve seen console commands to control NPCs, but it seems hit and miss and it doesn’t explain how I can pose the NPCs.

      • Halofarm November 10, 2015 9:13 am  Reply

There is a hints file in the download about how to use the console to position. You can take command of a character by clicking on them in the console, then typing first player.tc, and then tc. You pose a character by using the appropriate power in the powers menu. That bit is in the readme.

      What texture body you use?

      • Halofarm November 10, 2015 1:49 pm  Reply

Some use a fair skin base, others use a blend based on SG, others use a texture based on the one I released with UNPCM. All edited per character though.

They’re all just things that are in the various UNPCM mods. The bra is from UNPCM Mix (I changed the texture) and the thong is… actually I’m not sure which ones it’s in. I think UNPCM Stuff. The sandals and tights are the UNPCM version of Petrovich’s high heels.

The new object poses don’t work for me and I’m using standard scales. The old object poses (01-27) work fine, but the new ones just place a static pair of panties in the middle of the scene regardless of which actual animobject is meant to be displayed – almost as if no skin data is being read. Again, the old ones work, but the new ones don’t. I’ve seen something similar happen with objects exported from 3DS when they’ve been skinned to something other than the body mesh, but I can’t say for certain exactly what the problem is here. Perhaps it’s just a skeleton incompatibility. I’m using XPMSE 2.51.

      • Halofarm November 12, 2015 1:51 am  Reply

Try clean installing the mod. The old data might have got baked into your save. It’s happened to me before. It’s nothing to do with skinned objects. Those objects are assigned to a specific mesh. The static panties mesh was a placeholder for all of the poses from 28-81 before.

        • Kastagir November 12, 2015 3:43 am  Reply

A clean save (after cleaning script instances and creating another save prior to installing again) fixed it. Thanks. The first time I tried, I had also installed Goma’s latest merged pose pack and performing the clean save and reinstalling broke all the object poses – not just the new ones. I’m not sure if they conflict or if it’s best to remove them both when updating one since they share some script files. To be safe, that’s what I did and that’s what ended up working.

          • Halofarm November 12, 2015 10:32 am  Reply

Them using the same scripts won’t cause conflicts. I can tell you that much. You could have dozens of mods using the same scripts, as long as they didn’t use the same forms in their esp. It’s more likely that, like I said, things are just baked into the save which shouldn’t be. It’s happened to me a number of times before. Clean installing has always been the answer.

            Didn’t work for me :(

I uninstalled the previous one, loaded the game, saved after one minute, cleaned the save with save game script cleaner, loaded the game, saved again, installed Halo, loaded the game aaand … white panties everywhere ^^

Spent 3 hours on this, I give up :p

            • Halofarm November 22, 2015 2:22 am

              Oh well. I dunno then.

            • Cema November 25, 2015 12:33 pm

I tried to create a new char and the same problem appeared. So it seems it has not much to do with datas baked into the save for me T_T

            • Halofarm November 28, 2015 2:56 pm

Your problem is likely that you’re loading XPMSE.esp after Halo’s Poser.esp. I’ve just been informed that XPMSE.esp contains the object forms, and overwrites the new objects with the old placeholder panties. I’ve PM’d groovtama and notified him of the problem. Until then, you can fix it by loading Halo’s Poser after XPMSE.

Thank you for the answer ! I’ll try your solution =)

I was wondering why some of the older poses (those from the old Pinup Poser, such as the Standing poses) don’t fully lock the actor in place and all the new ones do. Specifically, the old Pinup Poser animations allow headtracking and the newer ones don’t. I realize that having an actor twist around to look at another actor can completely destroy the pose but properly lined-up actors could benefit from headtracking. I suspect you had a reason for disabling this and I was curious what it was.

      • Halofarm November 13, 2015 10:36 am  Reply

The only reason the old ones allow headtracking and the new ones don’t is because I didn’t use the “no head tracking” flag in the older behavior files. I changed that when I saw too many people who liked to take screenshots with followers and break their necks. It’s especially important with more recent, more extreme poses. If you let them headtrack…. *shudders*

      Hi halo

for the next set of poses do you think you could add some wrestling moves in the PAIRS poses? Like a powerbomb/chokeslam/german suplex/ddt?

And for the objects pose do you think you could add something with the character cuddling a cat/kitten? there are already cat mods on the nexus but nothing that makes it so like your holing the cat or anything.

so i have FNIS installed, i then installed halo pinup and ran the generated tool thingy for users, to then make sure the halo pinup mod is successfully included. (basically watched a vid and followed step by step) but when i tried to use the poses nothing happens. my char just continues to stand and not do the pose ;u;. could u possible know what might be the problem?

Did you install manually? Are you installing with Mod Organizer? A lot of things can go wrong if you don’t install the mod manually. Mod organizers don’t seem to like it for some reason.

Really love you work, I can spend ages going through each pose and I really appreciate the work you do. I don’t know if you do requests or not, but could I request some giantess poses? I’ve looked all over for some kind of giantess mod in Skyrim and not come across anything of the sort (it’s all beast/animal giantesses, which isn’t really my cup of tea) so if you could do that it would be much appreciated!

After many instal/reinstall, I can’t get rid of a little “bug”, at least I think it is one. Halo modules 12-13-14 works perfectly but when I want to try the poses which complete the eleventh module of Halo and object poser, it doesn’t work, my character just take the motion you have when FNIS isn’t up dated (and in my case it is) it’s like both modules were not finished. Did I miss something? I read your “read me”.

Thanks in advance for your answer and your support!

      Hey Halo!

Long time fan. Thanks for the new update! I had a quick question…

Do you think there is a way to preserve poses upon a fresh load/boot up of the game? I know that exiting and restarting the game will result in a T-pose. Any thoughts?

      • Halofarm November 19, 2015 11:03 am  Reply

That doesn’t happen for me, actually. My character and followers just go right back into pose when I reload. Sometimes the follower will move around, but the pose sticks. I don’t know why it does or doesn’t though, or know any way to force it, I’m afraid.

        • PC November 19, 2015 10:52 pm  Reply

Ooh, thanks for the reply. I should have been more specific. I like to craft some pretty dynamic scenes using Jaxon Positioner so I usually use the ‘tai’ command on characters after I pose them in order to freeze them in place.

So whenever I load up save upon a fresh boot up, the poses of the ‘TAI’ people are reverted to the basic T pose. Do you happen to know of a workaround?

    16. Halofarm November 20, 2015 10:43 am  Reply

No. That happens because when the game loads, the AI can’t load the pose, because you’ve deactivated it. Best thing I can think of is that you quickly TAI then and let them go back into pose then TAI them again.

I don’t plan on doing anything until such a time as I know IF it’s even possible. Also, I don’t port poses. It’s messy and pointless. I would make new ones.

Hi Halo! I’m getting a weird bug when using S1.1. Before I installed this version, I have uninstalled the previous version/s including the Pinup Poser. After installation, I ran FNIS then started a clean game. The problem I’m getting is that the pose names and descriptions mismatch the poses the character do. What should I do to fix this?

PS. Also, some of the poses do not work. But this might be due to the fact that the slots actually do not have poses, but in fact only display a different name/description.

      • Halofarm November 22, 2015 1:00 pm  Reply

I’ve never heard of anyone having this issue before. If a pose has a description, then there should be a pose. I wasn’t even aware the poses could be mismatched like that. I don’t really know what course of action to suggest. I’m not sure what could be causing it.

    19. paul November 24, 2015 7:54 pm  Reply

so the fact my last message got ignored means no to wrestling moves being added?

      • Halofarm November 24, 2015 8:23 pm  Reply

Yes. Pretty much. I don’t take pose requests, because I get them all the time, in comments here, in PMs on the nexus. I make whatever poses I decide to make when I’m making them. That’s basically how it goes.

You weren’t kidding when you said this was a big update lol

Fnis refuses to run now, I keep getting the error for too many animations. Is there any way I can reverse engineer which one of my other pose mods has the most animations?

      • Halofarm December 5, 2015 4:10 pm  Reply

If your FNIS is saying too many animations, you might just need a newer version of FNIS. I think fore increase (or removed?) the cap at some point. I know I’ve never had anyone report too many animations before. I feel like it has something to do with a limit per behavior file, which he increased.

    21. InterestedInsect December 20, 2015 5:27 am  Reply

Halo, how can I make a poser mod similar to yours? I’ve looked at the resources on FNIS’s mod page but am not sure which resources I should look at first to get started, or the most efficient way to put poses in the mod.

      • Halofarm December 20, 2015 9:27 am  Reply

I use Blender 2.49b to make kf poses, hkxcmd to convert kf poses to hkx animation files, and then FNIS to make behavior files. The poser itself is based on some old version of FNIS’ own included spells.

hey I LOVE your poser! unfortunately i had a problem i checked consistency issues in FNIS at it gave me around 35o consistency issues all regarding the poser (tried it out anyway had 5min of fun discovering ALL THE CHOICES IN POSES but then i got a CTD)… whats up with the consistency issues and how do I fix it?

      • Halofarm December 21, 2015 10:16 am  Reply

Like I said, it’s not an issue or a bug. You’ll see if you read the readme, and your CTD was not likely to do with the poser. Last I checked, it doesn’t cause CTDs. It’s more of a “works or it doesn’t” sort of broken if something goes wrong.

Activating a pose can cause a crash if you’re using the old PCEA, but that’s because of how that particular mod works. It’s not caused by this mod or its behavior files. I haven’t tried the new PCEA2 from Fore so I don’t know if it has this problem.

I usually don’t recommend NMM installation, but if it works it works. You’d know if it didn’t work. There’s no point in going through the trouble of uninstalling it and reinstalling it if it’s working fine for you, after all.

Before I grab this, I want to say, awesome work in creating a POSE/Screenshot.

I wanted to create a few items based on this for well, dollmaker style avatar sprites as well as smaller animations (like sprites) First, do you have maybe .bat files that specifically move a character to an exact position relative to the camera? If so, would there also be presets for say isometric spriting of characters, and then thirdly, I’d like to ask…do your poses have any static frames of walk animations (this also ties in with the idea of animated paperdolling.)

      • Halofarm January 24, 2016 3:37 pm  Reply

Sorry. I’m afraid that’s a no to all of those. They don’t really work that way. They’re just single frame poses. That’s all.
