To finish out Christmas day, it’s my favourite part, the Aether Suite update. So hands up those of you who were starting to think I’d abandoned the Aether Suite. It’s been exactly 1 year since the last release. I’m sure some of you were getting worried. Worry not! Have I got an update for you!
The last year has seen me working on lots of little updates one by one for the AS, and by the time I realised I had enough ready for a release, it was nearly time for the Christmas rush of getting an update ready, so naturally, I just saved it all for Christmas, and made even more on top of that. Here’s the changelog:
Updated existing apartments to a character names system instead of numbering (as per the results of the poll I took a while back).
Updated Sasaki’s Aethernet Dash with switchable main area.
Updated May Queen with an expanded layout and new lighting to make it less useless for screenshooting.
Updated PI Office to bring it in line with more recent locations.
Added new room to the Blue Butterfly Hotel, next door to the existing room.
Added new side room to The Undergrind.
Added Boss’ Hideout, accessible from Ehlnofey’s Landing, near the north east exit.
Added storeroom, apartment, and bedroom to the Last Man Standing.

Added House of Dibella – Solitude’s Accord, accessible from Solitude’s Accord.

Added Imi’s Apartment, accessible from Apartment Block basement.
Added Eve – Accessible from Ramen Shop.
Added new inventory to House of Dibella (Green Emperor Ward).
Added (different) new inventory to House of Dibella (Solitude’s Accord).
Added new inventory to Town Vanguard.
Added new inventory to The Lone Magician.
Added new song tracks to all music playlists, particularly the ones used in apartments.
Other miscellaneous under the hood improvements and fixes.
So, hopefully it’s big enough to please everyone after this long absence! Reminder to everyone that “Attractor Field” locations can only be accessed after you flip on the Denwa Renji (Kakko Kari) in the Library Lab.
Another note as well, remember that all clothing for the AS is female only and designed for the UNPCM body. Sorry to the people playing males.
So last year Christmas really crept up on me. I was left with a shitton of stuff to finish within about 2 weeks before Christmas day rolled around, and so I didn’t get to do anything particularly christmassy until my Christmas day releases. This year’s a little different.
Both of the past 2 years I’ve created custom Christmas themed locations to make my Christmas screenshot sets in. This year, I probably won’t be doing that, however, it does seem like a good time to release those locations into the wild. I even found a backup of the original 2015 location. Both locations absolutely require the Aether Suite to work, and both can be accessed from different spots inside the Red Robin Lounge. 2015’s is a little less unique, since I used less custom resources to make it, but it’s still good for some Knox Christmas themed screens.
Additionally, all the resources I used are free-to-use and have links to the originals, or you can use them directly from my mods here (in the case of the Oblivion ports). 2016 also contains some new fairy light and icicle resources that I made myself, and are of course also free-to-use. So anyone planning to put together something a little christmassy this year, you can feel free to use the resources within.
Lastly, the resources in 2015 are also in 2016 (as well as many more) so I recommend if you intend to install both, let 2016 overwrite 2015.
Gift number 3 is for 750 followers on my twoshotpanda screenshooting blog.
This is a medium sized house mod. Again, it’s only really for aesthetics and has no particular interactivity. It’s designed for screenshooting with a mage type character (and perhaps their partner) and has a lot of little details based around that.
See screenshots for the location, and the readme for credits.
Gift number 2 is for 500 followers on my Halo’s Mods blog.
It’s actually a little house mod I made for Empt a couple of years ago that I’ve considered sharing on and off ever since I made it. It’s purely for the sake of a few screenshots. It has no particular interactivity to speak of. Just a cluttered medium sized shack.
Just when I thought I was done with the S;G naming references, someone gave me a whole other game’s worth of operation names.
So, this update is a little more minor than the previous ones, but it’s kind of not. To be more precise, I’ve only added a few new aethernet dashes, and 1 apartment in terms of new locations. However, I’ve also added a ton of new clothing and accessories in both House of Dibella and Town Vanguard.
Added Apartment 2-10
Added Alyssa’s Aethernet Dash
Added Kaori’s Aethernet Dash
Added Aloha’s Aethernet Dash
Added Lily’s Aethernet Dash 2
Added Faria’s Aethernet Dash
Added Senpai’s Aethernet Dash
Added Shiki’s Aethernet Dash
Added Sasaki’s Aethernet Dash
Extensively expanded House of Dibella’s inventory
Extensively expanded Town Vanguard’s inventory
Expanded the Alpha Attractor Field
So, most apartments now have an aethernet dash, basically. Not quite all, but most. For those of you who still haven’t found Town Vanguard, I’m feeling festive today, so I’ll tell you, it’s in the Wet Alley, just by the back entrance to the Red Robin, but only in the Alpha Attractor Field after you activate the Denwa Renji (Kakko Kari). Also, don’t forget to pick up your free Upa Backpack! If you can figure out how and where, that is.
A quick reminder that all clothing in the Aether Suite is female only and for the UNPCM body type, because that’s what I make/port stuff for, because that’s what I use.
Another one? Yes. Another one. When you’re motivated, you just gotta keep going. It’s another pretty big one too. A lot of new stuff added. Some big, some small. Here’s the changelog:
Quadrupled the effective size of Ehlnofey’s Landing
Added Apartment 28-3
Added Apartment Block 92-A
Added Apartment 3-6
Added Apartment 4-9
Added May Queen Beep²
Added The Last Man Standing
Added The White Room
Added Unlocked Depository
Expanded the alpha attractor field
Optimised and overhauled various textures and meshes
Updated various locations to include some of the newer clutter
So lots of new bits and bobs to see this time. Some new unique locations again. In the interest of informing those of you who hadn’t realised what “expanded the alpha attractor field” actually means, it means that I’ve added new things or locations to the second world line. I’m not gonna tell you where or what they are, and you won’t find them on any of the maps. You have to do a little exploration to root them out. Just a little motivation for folks to really explore. Never know what you might find! I also did various optimisations and fixes again this time, so hopefully things are continuing to get easier on people’s GPUs (except Ehlnofey’s Landing, because it’s HUGE now, but actually my FPS there didn’t even change) and look better at the same time, since I’ve been replacing some of the older crappier textures and utilising different methods to provide better visual quality with lower res textures.
P.S. I’ve been trying not to go full beggar again but the next few months are gonna be serious money troubles for me, so if there are any kind souls out there who feel like donating to help pay for the server these next couple of months, I’d be mighty grateful. And a reminder, since I always like to mention it, donations or not, the site won’t go down and the mods won’t stop coming.
Also, please put in the comments if you’d like to be thanked, and if so, what you’d like me to call you by. No one ever notes it and I never know if people want to be thanked. I certainly don’t want to be thanking people by their real names!
It’s been a short time. Like a really short time. In fact, I checked the release history and this is the fastest AS update I’ve ever made. It’s not a small one either! What happened was that when I made the last AS release, I was kind of on a roll, so I just kept rolling figuring I’d have a little content already done for the next update, and I accidentally made a whole other update in record time. That’s a good thing though!
So here’s the changelog:
Added rainy day club building, accessed via rainy ACC
Expanded House of Dibella to finally include changing rooms, because I finally have curtains for that
Expanded the alpha attractor field
Added Ehlnofey’s Landing
Added Blue Butterfly Hotel Foyer
Added Blur Butterfly Floor 26 and Room 26-5
Added Apartment Block 75-B
Added Apartment 30-3
Added Apartment 33-2
Considerably expanded Town Vanguard’s inventory
Updated Redoran Ward to be slightly less empty
Relit Green Emperor Ward to try to fix the lighting glitches
Extensive tileset overhauls for Knox exteriors to fix long standing problems and optimise, so hopefully those of you with weaker machines will have less trouble in the exteriors now… hopefully
Updated the BGM in the lab
Various other major optimisations and fixes
I will say, a fair amount of the changes in this version are under the hood things, like the tileset optimisations, but I am hoping that folks running on older rigs will find Knox’s exteriors a little less crushing now, since between the new collision meshes and the mesh geometry optimisations, there should be less than half the geometry rendering on your screens now. I hope it’s meaningful enough to make a difference to people with weaker graphics cards.
And yeah, I thought it was about time for a new area, so we have Ehlnofey’s Landing. Check the updated maps for locations of new things.
Without further talking of shit, here’s the download: Download
It’s been a long time. Like a really long time. I didn’t realise it’d been 8 months since my last AS update, so it’s a good job I had one good to go!
A lot has happened in the AS over the past few months. A lot of bits and bobs. A lot of “I’ll just make this one thing” locations. It took a while, but I suddenly realised I had enough content for probably TWO AS updates. I’d just been forgetting to release. Ultimately, my fanboy side took the reigns and you got an update fuelled by fanboy excitement.
Here’s the changelog:
Added rainy day Academy
Renovated the ACC – Swimming Pool
Massively overhauled Knox layout and naming schemes (see maps)
Added a set of maps! (in the download)
Added the Black Streets
Added Apartment Block 33-A
Added Apartment 7-5
Added Apartment 10-6
Added Apartment G-5
Added My Apartment
Added Lilim’s Aethernet Dash
Added Septim Public Library, Library Lab, Library Residence
Added Book Club Aethernet Dash
Added alpha attractor field. Made various levels of overhaul and under the hood alterations and improvements
That’s the shortlist. There’s more I haven’t mentioned. Quite a bit more, actually, but you’ll just have to find it for yourself.
Most importantly, I’ve added a set of maps in jpg format to the download, so for those of you who gave up on exploring Knox because you were getting lost, now you’ve got a map! The bad news is that older users who’ve been using Knox all along might have to use those maps too, because Knox’s layout has pretty radically changed with this release, since I wanted it to make geographical sense.
Second most importantly, you now have an apartment. It’s the new entrance point into Knox, and it’s linked up to the main hub (Red Robin Plaza) instead of half a mile down a wet alley. I know some people will appreciate not having to run half of Tamriel just to get to the rest of the city.
Regarding the bug you’ll sometimes get activating the Denwa Renji (Kakko Kari), I know about it. It’s not a problem I can fix. It’s a stupid thing with Skyrim’s engine that I have absolutely no workaround for. If you leave the room and come back, it’ll go away. It’s related to how the cell buffer works.
Lastly, due to how much I’ve changed in this release, you might get some oddities if you don’t clean install it. I’m not saying you have to, because it has worked fine for me without doing so, but if anything pops up, that’s the solution.
Now that I’m done waffling, here’s the download: Download
P.S. Cracked the 1gb download size this time as well. That’s a landmark. Maybe not a good one, but it’s a landmark.
That’s right. I haven’t forgotten about everybody this year. I ended up with a pretty nasty bug right before Christmas, so it was a rush to the finish, BUT I have got some updates for you.
Here’s what’s been added in this update:
Added 4 new cells to the Hot Springs Hotel location. Now it’s more like an actual hot springs hotel. The foyer, the dining area, the rec room, and the courtyard. The courtyard is gonna make your machine chug. ENB does NOT like all that foliage.
Added 3 new cells to the Red Robin Lounge. 2 private rooms, and also a bathroom in the En Suite, so now the En Suite is an actual En Suite and not just misnamed.
Updated Lily’s Aethernet Dash with even more buttons! A whole new top row.
Other various small tweaks and fixes, including improvements to the glass walls which I did such a good job of messing up in the last release.
It might not sound like much, but my focus this time was basically on making the hot springs hotel into a full screenshooting location. It’s not finished yet though! There’s more to come in future updates.
Without further ado, here’s the download: Download
It’s been a while since the last update, but hopefully this update won’t disappoint.
I won’t bother with a ramble, here’s the changelog:
Added Hot Springs Hotel – accessed from the main lobby
Added Lily’s Apartment and Aethernet Dash – Accessed from Redoran Ward, and the bedroom, respectively. The Aethernet Dash is a highly configurable studio room
Added PI Office – accessed via Redoran Ward
Added Lilim’s Bunker – Accessed via the end of the Redoran Ward street. A partial, and quite mediocre replica of a certain location in a certain game
Overhauled Apartment 184 – The apartment is now split into separate cells for better lighting, has light switches, and a bathroom, and some changes, both small and big
Overhauled Finnegan’s Bar and Board – A few additions, a few changes. There’s a jukebox now. It’s really ugly.
Massive music overhaul – A lot of the music previously used in the Aether Suite was copyrighted. Music in new areas is all creative commons or licensed, and all previously used copyrighted music has been replaced with legal alternatives. You can find the full details on any music you might like in the readme
Other minor changes including nicer bottles, collision fixes on the streets to allow followers to get onto paths, and removal of accidentally used SMIM apples, in lieu of vanilla apples. Lots of other little things I can’t even remember.
Hopefully the update will be to everyone’s liking. And just a quick note to anyone who wants to complain that Knox is growing based around my characters: What do you expect? It’s literally my Skyrim dollhouse. See release name.
