Monthly Archives: November 2019

The tl;dr of this post is: There will be no mods released this Christmas, but there will be some staggered releases in 2020, mostly in the latter half.

If you’re interested in the in-depth reasons, a bit of personal insight, and what you can actually expect to surface throughout 2020, read on.

So I’m sure if won’t have escaped everyone’s attention that I’ve been pretty silent, both here and on social media. It’s been a rough year for me. PC breakdowns and data losses on the computing side of things, as well as on the personal side, I’ve been trying to deal with some long-standing mental issues. I finally started taking medication for severe depression and anxiety this year, which unfortunately had the undesirable side effect of completely murdering my energy levels and creativity completely for about 5 very long months. I essentially spent a lot of time vegetating playing Final Fantasy XIV, and not doing very much else at all. That hasn’t changed much, but I’m not on a different medication which seems to be having a more positive effect.

Now normally at this time of year I’d begin a headlong rush into pushing out a pile of mods for Christmas day, but given my current situation, I don’t particularly feel like putting that kind of pressure on myself, especially since all the mod releases I intend to make will be the final releases. With that in mind, I decided to take a slow and steady approach with an eye towards quality as I slowly release things one by one.

It’s been a lot of years now that I’ve been releasing regular and not-so-regular mods for Skyrim, and it’s been a lot of fun for me doing all this creating, but the game is getting old, and even if I did feel like moving over to SE, the fact remains it’s still the same old game, just for DX11 with some fancy effects tacked on, and it’s about time to put the poor thing to rest in terms of my modding.

So, what’s to be released in the coming year, and (very very roughly) when?

I have quite a few ongoing, every growing mods, and I aim to do a final release for each of them, so throughout 2020, and in this order, you can expect to the following releases:

Halo’s Poser S 2.0
Fuwaposer 7.0
MK Poser 2.0
Knox Poser 1.0
Aether Suite 1.0

The posers will likely begin surfacing around February or March some time, and keep popping up slowly until the latter half of the year. Aether Suite… the last update is going to be a pretty big one. It’s already WIP, and too WIP to shape into something releasable at the moment. It could come as late as all the way on to Christmas 2020, though I don’t intend for it to be that long, but the last thing I want to do is be that guy who says “summer 2020″ and then nothing happens. If I find myself with the time and inclination, I might at least pop out one poser update for Christmas, but don’t get your hopes up, it’s not likely.

Hopefully this has been nice and informative for everyone.

See you in the new year, and happy holidays.
